I still think it's silly for dslr's to shoot video. If you want to shoot videos, buy a video camera, if you want to shoot photos, buy a still camera.

For a lighter body its a good step instead of teh 1-d series - will definetley be interesting to try out.

7D is looking pretty sexy tho.. fully weather sealed, 1080p HD video, etc etc.

Why did they have to make it a 1.6x crop? It does have a lot of cool features and the fully weathered sealed body is awesome I might be looking into it in the future.

i know that's annoying, i'd be interested if it were full frame but im only upgrading for a full frame, i don't wanna spend 1800 for a crop sensor

I love my 5dmkII but I like the 24p and or 60. Hope there is a firmwire update but oh well. I bought it for the camera, not for video... but I really like the video!

looks sick, dual digic 4 processors, 60fps 720p HD vid, 8 fps for sure a dope cam. the screen in the back has some room to grow too which is cool but uncool at the same time because they could have just boosted the size for this one but i guess that's something the 7d mark II will bring. but what's this camera missing????? 1.3 crop sensor, it's priced high enough to ward off any EF-S lens users so what the fuck when is canon going to get that enlarging the sensor is more effective than giving it more and progressivly smaller pixels.
