Fighting multiple opponents

So heres the deal.  Everyone involved is 20 or so just for some background.  There's this kid who i've had beef with for quite some time.  Things kind of got escalated this summer and I have no doubt that when one of his friends moves back to B-town there is gunna be some shit.

The kid i have beef with isn't much of a challenge, but his buddy is pretty big and not a kid i would really ant to fight.  I usually have friends with me and basically any party I go to I will have more than enough back up.  If they start anything it will be when I am alone.

So my question is what do I do if this happens?  I would rather put a good hurt on both of them and get my ass kicked then run away.  Has anyone ever been in a situation like this?

I have a little bit of fighting experience and would say im reasonable tough and able to throw a punch.

Back off and make them follow you until you get in a place where you can fight just one person at once. (i.e doorway, small room, etc) and what type of fight is this gonna be? theres 2 types really, ones that are for show (mostly) and are in front of people and last a long time and aim (subconsciously of course) to impress others, or those that are short and vicious and only about winning and inflicting as much damage as possible. If its the latter type, don't hesitate to use anything you can grab to give you the upper hand, you can be sure your opponents will.
( im pretty sure thats a run-on sentence I just wrote)

It'll be a vicious fight.  There's a lot of bad blood between us.  But the kid isn't crazy.  There wont be knives, guns, broken beer bottles, etc involved.

Crazy doesnt have anything to do with it. Just win, and after you drop one person, dont waste time on them, just make sure they're down ( a solid kick to the head/ribs should do it). You can be sure that his buds will be coming right over him ( which you probably know). Or if its a one on one fight with potential to escalate, just fuck the first guy up so bad that noone will even think about coming after you

pay attention to whats going on. be aware and prepared for when the shit actually hits the fan. other than that you cant do shit. if its going down then its going down...i bet you did or were involved in some dumbass shit to have this beef but i cant say i havent had the same situations. i only say that because a bad decison is whats behind bad situations..and yes i made bad decisions myself im not hating

I find these sort of things never really manifest themselves into an actual fight, its pretty easy to avoid someone if you want to.  If it comes down to it and two of them corner you, just run up and nut the big guy right off the bat, then beat up the other guy while he's recovering.

Its dirty but whatever.  Fight is a fight.

He speaks the truth. However, sometimes you must defend yourself. That said don't start anything if nothing is going to happen, that would be incredibly stupid.

I'm pretty confident its gunna happen.  I've been avoiding the fight with just him all summer.  This kid has a history of getting his ass kicked and calling the cops (or threatening to so the person will fight him again on his terms).  He jumped me on the street one night and I just wrapped up with him until he realized he couldnt win, but his buddy will walk right up swinging and if theres two of them I can't really get out of it.

And as to how this all came about... we've had beef for like 2+ years.  Then last school year he started kissing and trying to bring my best friend back when she was incoherently wasted, so threw him around for a bit and things have just kind of tit for tat escalated from there.

Yea really just try to avoid it man, however check out some krav maga stuff just incase you do encounter a bad situation. It seem's pretty straightforward, basically do whatever it takes to neutralize the threat without having any harm to yourself.

But i'd like to reinforce that I only intended that to be for a worst case scenario. It's really not that hard to avoid a fight. Just be the bigger man.

if you want to fight semi-dirty but not as dirty as kicking someone in the balls punch as hard as you can right at the throat, a good shot directly to the throat will close up their airway and the last thing on their mind will be fighting

for real self defense a tactical baton might be your best bet.
You don't need any martial-art skills+you have the element of surprise.
just target the knees, scrotum and head...

if you absolutly have to fight these two and you end up getting ganged, who cares about fighting fair? in my opinion do whatever you need to to win, and if they are ganging you they already made the fight dirty. nut em and then beat their asses so they cant hurt you again.

but thats IF you have to fight them of course

I was taught that your not even trieng to hurt them you just wanna kill time till someone notices or helps you. i say dont even get started with it but if they come at you just stay on your toes always moving and keep them in a line. so if there "X" and you "Y" its like XX Y not X y

as you said one is bigger than the other, do wahtever you can to keep the smaller guy infront. no matter what he does put him infront of the bigger attacker and it makes it realllly hard to do anything. Pushing the smaller guy into the bigger one really fucks with them, but i wouldnt do this unless youve trained with this because if you push him past the big guy your kinda fucked.


but really. just dont get in a fight......

I hate fighting but here is what you do. If it is both of them the kid you caught beef with and his friend. HIt the friend first, this shows the kid you have beef with you are kind of a ticking time bomb. Make sure you hit him good so he doesn't get up right away. Then take care of the kid you are beefing with.

Remember though since you are 20 there could be legal trouble, so if you can take a punch first then do it, so it looks like self defense.

Let them kick the shit out of you. Then press charges to the fullest extent of the law. Once that has finished, you will then file a civil suit to reclaim monetary damages.

Maybe then they will realize how immature and ridiculous fighting is.

Hmm.... And when you pull out your baton/brass, and the other guy pulls out a knife, what do you do? Don't bring weapons, you'll get wrecked. That shit never goes well. Best bet is to get into a spot where you can only fight 1v1. But you'll still probably get your ass kicked. Oh well.

What you have to do is keep yourself from being surrounded. keep moving so that they are both on the same side of you and throw fast blows, key is to force them to face you one at a time for small increments of time

Fighting more than one person is a terrible idea, but if you feel like your going to have to... Get the first guy out of the way quick, kick his knee in or knee him in the nuts, that'll stop him fairly quick, then fight the other one. The last thing you want to do is go to the ground because that's where you get stomped and possibly killed, which is no good.
