this is a direct quote from my dad today. I just got home from climbing a 14er (CO love), and I was playing some music on the home computer. It happened to be atmosphere. I walked in my room to change, relax a bit. I come back out, and my dad is sitting at my computer, and tells me he is sick and tired of hearing this explicit rap in his house, and demands me to delete it. He says it makes me swear more, argue more, and act in a bad behavior.

So, he is making me delete it. all of it. all 5000 songs on my home and laptop computer, which he technically owns. Here's the problem:

I go to a University in the Midwest (Miami of Ohio) that will be an top 15 business school, and I am an honors student in that program. ps, its a bunch of white preppy kids.

Im on the waterski team and the executive board of my fraternity.

I'm working At merrill lynch this summer

I'm 20

and the minute he and I stopped arguing, he went and cursed (hell was the word he used) to my brother afterward.

explain to me how i am apparantly a delinquint and that my music is making me swear more and act innapropriatelly (spelling my b). sorry for the rant, but this is HORSESHIT.

And i can't just cut off all ties cause he's got me financially tied. he's paying for my college, and my internship this summer is unpaid. no money, a shitton of problems. I wish i could win the fucking lottery and live like the trustfund babies without my dad breathing down my fucking neck and choking my chain with that financial reminder. maybe that's why i want to be a financial advisor. FML!

ill be a freshmen at MUO in a couple weeks. Get an external hard drive and just keep all your shit on that. Saves your ass if you get a virus and it destroys your computer. Then you can just upload everything you took off. Wait. I think you said you already took it off. Nevermind. Hahaa. just wait till you get back down there and transfer music from someone elses computer

if your music is marked at explicit, like with the red box on iTunes, than it was bought (as opposed to torrents like most of us) on iTunes? who paid for that?

Yeah, I'd say just back it up. 5000 songs could possibly fit on a like an 8 gig thumb drive. Or just got a small external HD.

Can you clear this up? First of all you say you started playing some music on the home computer, but in the next sentence you say it's your computer? whos computer is it?

If the computer is actually your Dads and it's the home computer then I'd say he's perfectly entitled to tell you to take your music off it. He probably doesn't want to hear that shit blasting throughout the house. Next time wear headphones.

Just do what he says, he's paying for your education. it's not like you'll die from not listening to it for 3 weeks. then if you're not smart enough to back it up you'll be able to have a lovely time with your frat boys getting some new music off them (and have a good wee bitch sesh at the same time)

wow you are 20, this is so pathetic you had to ask ns what to do, im literally speechless. so, here is my 4 step plan for solving all your music problems, making you happy, and especially your dad

step 1) finish blowing your dad and get off your knees

step 2) grow a pair of balls

step 3) get a hard drive and transfer your music over

step 4) wipe the jizz off your face and swallow the rest down with a glass of water.
