This was a video i put together for my track team as a just for fun thing. I got comments like "wow your good!" (which we aren't, and i realize this) but nothing on the editing. So, critique away!

Camera: Schools GL2
Editing: Sony Vegas 9

I am also fully aware that there is only one or two angles, this was because my coach wouldn't let me spend all practice sitting at the camera and fooling around with it

I guess its just repetitive because its pole vaulting.
And yeah more angles,
Cut the clips more o ntime to the music,
you could even play around with some features, ( pan zoom ) but not to an excess.

And if your using windows movie maker download Vegas 8.0

To be honest i didnt make it thorough just because of the repetitive shots, and slow boring music.


Sorry if i was too bitchy, but thats just what i think when i watch it.

Your colors are very washed out and not very pleasing to the eye.  Try bumping up your settings on rainy days (I just filmed on a shitty flatlight day and it's not easy).

You need more angles.  I got bored of your shots to be honest, not being mean.

The music was too slow.  Unless you have amazing angles and epic slowmo shots I would stay away from that.  A more fun song would have improved the vibes.

nice job... i know nothing about cameras and edits and pole vaulting but it looked good to me

this... it helps to know which types of songs go with different shots and editing...
that said, pretty cool, as said before, not too many angles... and i didnt really like the beggining title at all

it would be sweet so make a cheap lil dolly that you could run along side the track people run down before they jump (is that what its called?). or it also looked like one of the guys (the one that cleared it) had a helmet cam or something on. edit those in maybe. then sure editing could be better but thats always the case for everyone it seems. I'd say focus more on the shooting/production part of it for now.

looks like your having fun though! pole vaulting looks sick
