I'm in need of a new MTB and I've narrowed the choice to two bikes...
a Gary Fischer X-Caliber (29er) which has a Fox F80Rl 29 fork
a Specialized Stumpjumper comp 29 which has a Reba SL 29 fork and some nicer components than the X-Caliber
i'm 6'2" 155 pounds and an aggressive rider... any thoughts?
thanks for the help i'm probably going to go with the fischer but i also can get a really good deal on a Kona 29er with a scandium frame (500 less than the fischer)... but with shitty components and an even lower grade fork than the specialized
Are you serious? Aluminum dj frames are a great idea.
They can make them cheap and light, whilst also being very strong.
There is a reason that a lot of common dj bikes are made of aluminum.
Also, konas are super solid little bikes.
May I ask you what broke on your kona?
If it is the frame (like your post implies) why didn't you get that shit warrantied?
