Summer setup for a beginner?

I just started skiing park this year, and my progression has been somewhat slow. i am learning a lot in the air, but when it comes to rails and boxes i just cant seem to get my balance right. i guess most of the time i can grip a box consistantly, but when it comes to blindside and spins on and off i am not even close. my question is would it be a good idea to build a rail box thing for the summer to try and learn some basics?

def a good idea for progression but as too how to build it and what to build, i'd probly look in the Buil-a-Jib 101 cult, plenty of good stuff there.

yea build a slightly wider frame for a box and put that plastic sheet stuff on top of it, it should be pretty easy to slide and ull get more comfterable sliding things, and also i agree ^ go to build a jib 101 cult and theres good stuff there.

definantly make something easy to step onto, but make sure its at least half a foot off the ground, cause if its not that high, then on a switch up ull ski will drag on the ground. for a starter id get 4 or 5 of the smallest pvc you can find, and nail them close together to a board so itssomewhat like a box.

7 inches is plenty man. You just need some clearance for your tips and tails when you grip the rail.

boxes dont work very well for a summer setup.  my friend has a 15 flat box and a 15 flat rail and the flat box doesnt slid much at all.  i guess because of the heat or something its just really really sticky and i think the rail works much better because of less surface area.

if i were you id just make a 15 flat pvc rail, if you want it easiar make in a double or triple shotgun
