Hey, i found a dvc 30 that is for sale for 1300, with a fisheye, extra battery, a couple tapes, an extra eyecup.
i believe i could get the price down a bit, but not more than 100-150 bucks.
Is this a good deal? i don't know much of anything about video camera's, soo.....
and also, does this make sense for what i'm looking for?
basically what i'm looking for a is a good quality, low end prosumer camera. I love the quality dvx's produce, but i don't have the experience/money/motivation to have a camera like that. I figure the DVC is a good fit for that category. I want a good camera that i can create some edits that i am happy with, not necessarily make movies.
I know that the technology is old, but an hv30 just doesn't do it for me. something about them seems somewhat of a gimick(i know, call me crazy). I don't get excited about the footage that comes from the HD cameras in the same price range.
