to begin, i have the ar6, so my opinion might be biased, cuz most ppl. love the skis they own. that being said, the ar6 is a very stable and solid ski. maybe abit more allmountainish compared to the suspect, but its a killer in the park hands down. it rides quite well in powder too, aslong it is below your knees.
as far as teh suspects go, salomon had quality issues. i heard the suspects tear up easily and the edges rip out within like 30 days. probably alot of other members here would agree with that.
but it is also a really solid park ski. maybe just a tiny bit softer than the ar6, but its really minimal difference.
except for the quality and the fact that the suspects, dimension wise, are a little closer to symetrical, there are few differences. its just preferecnes. maybe demo them next season in multiple conditions and then just buy the ski u liked best.
AR6s aren't the stiffest thing out there, but they can still handle pretty much anything you throw at them. I rode them most of the year and loved them for everything from rails to jumps up to about 55 feet. Great ski.
the ar6 is awesome. Its a great all around ski and I know a few people who use it. They rip it in the park all day and have never had any problems with it. Solid ski for everything.
on the other hand with the suspects, i dont know anyone that owns them but there have been a few problems that alot of people have posted about. I remember about something about a bad warranty and the edges getting messed.
in my opinion: get the ar6!

I have suspects. I skied them hard for about 35 days last season, and they are fine. I know everyone on NS now hates Salomon, but not every pair of Suspects will implode. They're also not soft flexing skis, like a lot of people have been saying. They're a medium to medium-stiff flex, and very poppy. I've never skied AR6s, but hand flexing the two side by side, the Suspect is stiffer.
i'm the exact same height and weight, i have AR6s and i love them! they're stiff if your as light as 115lbs but the flex pattern is laid out so you can still nose butter and stuff, feels good in the park, stiff enough for all mountain...great ski all around.
Bro im getting them for the graphic.
Thanks you! MOST people would be fine on suspects that would be fine on AR6s. tonns of rails I may not want to risk it, but someone that is not a hard rail skier will be fine..... They should take out edge armour IMO, that is where the possible problem is and that is what it was suppposed to stop, not make worse..
I am going to have to disagree with your post a bit. I was at a shop the other day which had both Suspects and Ar6's. The Suspect is no doubt stiffer and a little wider. The suspect is closer to being symmetrical than the Ar6 is, but it isn't really close to being symmetrical. I think the Suspect is more all mountain oriented because it is a bit wider and has more shape and is a bit stiffer. My info may be a little off because the pair of Ar6's were alot shorter than the pair of Suspects the shop had.
