stretching always helps me ski better so i'm trying to work on my flexibility over the summer but I'm quite the procrastinator anyone have any helpful things to do without taking to much time out of my day?
I would be really careful stretching cold. A lot of folks are now questioning even stretching before a work out. Generally I will have a thorough warm-up, then some very light stretching, then my work-out, then thorough stretching afterwards
Step into your bindings and do a double rocket grab while standing on the ground. If you aren't flexible, the flex of your skis will help, and if you are, you can just move your hands closer to your feet. I do it daily, for a few minutes. Then, I do tail presses and butters all over my room.
What the fuck were you doing?! One looks like a failed abortion and the other like something from chicken run. - ski-plastic
Don't bother paying for them until you find an instructor that you like. I am personally a fan of Chaz who does the yogamazing video podcast (it is free so not a bad place to start). I wouldn't suggest just following videos though. You should go to classes first to make sure you are doing the posses correctly. If you aren't I assume you could screw stuff up pretty badly.
