Choosing skis?

Im 5'11" and 150 pounds, I dont do many jibs mostly just jumps, just screwing around. and ski all over the mountain mostly, any level pretty much Ill do anything in bounds, Whistler style.

This is my shortlist of skis from a site where I can buy cheap brandnew.

Rossignol Barras
K2 Disorderly
K2 Extreme
Salomon Threat
Volkkl Ledge 168
Rossignol Sprayer FS
Head Mojo Spawn
Head Mad Tricks
Dynastar  Trouble, Troublemaker, Big Trouble

Any opinions what to choose?

'09 Line Chronics, not a 2x4, but not a noodle, perfect all-mountain and jump ski. Find them on evo for $250ish. If you want something wider, but still all-mountain, Line blends, also $250ish on evo, or wait for chronic Cryptonites.

i would go with the a pair of 09 Coreupts.  the candide yard and Colby's urban rise are $259 with the DLD 12 bindings included,

im pretty sure the 09 ones are from the Dynastar trouble or big trouble mold.

Barras mounted -3, you will not regret it my friend. I'm basically the exact same size as you, and its safe to say I won't be getting another pair of skis for a while. If you have any questions about them shoot me a PM.

Off your list i'd go with the k2 disorderlies they are so sweet my friend has a pair and he swears by them

so good for cruising around the feel like a racing ski mounted back and a park machine near center.
mount 2 cm back and have at it
you can lay it on edge and carve up nastar but slay the jumps like no other (maybe thats why pk hunder rides it in big air comps eh?)
fun ski i would buy cuz im pure park but if you wanna cruise and do it all that the best one on the list pluss it has thick edges and is verry durrable
only other ski i owuld say is ar6 but there not cheap

all this is true but they are very stiff. also the sidewalss chip like crazy. i would go with ar6 here you can get them for 224.00!

Like said above, 09 Chronic's would awesome.


Sierraskis has them listed for $196 brand new. you could pick up the PX12's they have for $104 and get the whole thing shipped for $301, not bad

why would you do that when you can get a year older for $65??? i really thhink this is perfect for you. and you need them in your price range so i dont know if your find a cheaper ski. this is like buying it straight from backcountry.com but they put lots of there old stuff on it. http://www.geartrade.com/browse/116/789/454/item/78086

if you really are just into jumps, the k2 extreme could be great for you because of its stiffness, it'll deliver a great pop and keep you up on the landing better + better carving in on jumps and landings

dont get anthems or afterbangs if you are just doing jumps...

and maby CoreUpt like someone said would be good(and good graphics).  08 chronics or 09 mounted +1-3 of reco., but you can't go any more forward than -3 of true or they suck.  Why are you going cheap?  are you using them before next year at all?  if you do want to go cheap:Coreupt, chronics, 09 T-Halls, whatever the older version of the Rossi S4 is(don't get the rossis you named..)
