In a jam : boots

So i have a pair of old salomon foil boots that iv been squeezing my feet into all season (lost a nail to toe bang) and i thought that i was done with skiing until next season.             wrong.

my grandperents agreed to send me to windells sesh 3 and im SOOOO stoked to go but i dont have any boots.

So i guess my question is how would i be able to get my hands on pair of properly fitted boots before i head off to camp?  I live in toronto CA so i dont think any shops would be boot fitting in june. Or mabey windells has a shop for that? order online?   Im stumped and was wondering if anybody could share some ideas.

i dont know what its called, but shops can take out the inner lining of the boot, i think they heat it, and reshape it a little bit. i dont know what shops would be open in june but i can guarentee that theres a shop at Hood that can help you

You could be losing your toenail b/c the boots are too big or too small. You first need to figure that out. Pull the liner out of the boot, put your foot into the shell of the boot, slide your toes till they just touch the front of the boot. See how many fingers you can fit between your heel and the back of the boot. 2 fingers is the average fit. 1 or less is a performance or race fit. Anything over 2 is probably too big.

yeah my boots are too small and im thinking of just buying a pair online and base it off of my shoe size. Im thinking spk's becouse i have flat foot

buy some online at a place where you can return them if they don't fit.

Never buy a boot based off your shoe size, I for instance wear a legit 13 shoe, and depending on the boot, wear a 27/28 shell.

Do what I advised earlier in my previous post, and post back with your results. Then find the BSL on your old foil boots, and we can help you with the sizing a bit mroe.

If you are gonna buy online (not rec) be sure it is from a legit place that allows you to return or at least exchange the boots for a diff size/model.

Boots may be too big, or they could just be really small I guess too.  Pull the liner out and have a buddy shell fit you...some one posted up above on what a shell fit entails.  Also, if you are standing in your boots, your toes should be touching the front of the boot, they should come back when you flex into the boot though.  If you are standing up straight and don't feel the front of the boot, then they are for sure too big. 

Never buy a ski boot based on your shoe size, they will be too big and you will continue to have toe bang issues. 

Look on the inside of the heel of your boot for a small number.  That is your sole length in mm.  That will help indicate what size boot you have right now so you can go bigger or smaller from there.

don't they have demos at windells?

you'll probably be skiing in a different pair of boots each day, but maybe that's good for deciding what works for you and what doesn't.

i would say go online and search for shops around your area and then give em a calll see if there open. other then that idk.

well if you live in toronto then there is one shop that still has boots althought hey dont have a boot fitter
its scotties in whitby
im in the same problem i need new boots so i walked there today after school and the still have dalbello and full tilts for 200ish or so
im picking up some krypton junoirs which are a 26.5 size and they also ahve a 27.5 in it. its a nice boot to
