Skullcandy sucks

I'm starting to get pissed with their shit. I've gone through 4 pairs of FMJ's and they all broke the SAME FUCKING WAY!! The connection in the earbud failed. Has anyone else had this problem or had to replace their products several times?

Yup. I guess it's not as widely known as I thought, that Skullcandy sucks and the only reasons people buy it is that they support the industry, will replace anything, and its cheap.

'cause of their free warranty, man. I've tried TiTans and they're worse. Another NS'er said he went through 2 pairs of lowriders.

sony buds my friend the are the same price maybe a lil priceyer  way better quality and are all around awesome just not as cool graphics

ive gone through about 6 pairs of the earbuds for the same reason, i don't really care they are like $9.99 if on sale sometimes, plus the ones i have that arent earbuds work fine for me

when i say forever i mean probably about 3-4 years and outside of the paint rubbing off and the white more a dirty vanilla color (i have white ones) they are still just fine.

same my lowriders broke, 5 pairs of smoking buds broke, my heshs broke and my icons broke too

and they don't give me shit back i've tries to talk to them but they never responed to my emails

Skullcandy is grossly overpriced. But they have the best warranty, so anything you are skiing in, but skullcandy, because if you break them, you can just send them in saying what happened.

I remember last "Skullycandy Sucks" thread i was in someone posted a link to some sick headphone company that had pretty cool looking designs/colours and whatnot. I have no idea what its called but if anyone knows post a link please!

I just put my earbuds into an envelope to ship off to skullcandy so I can get a new pair....

for the fifth time.

I'm sure they make a ton of money selling cool headphones to the general public who has no idea that they are really a skiing/snowboarding company.  But that general public also probably doesn't know that they will break often and that you can get a new one for free.  I'm sure a majority of their customers buy headphones, rock them till they break, then buy another pair for however much they cost.  Which equals repeat sales.  If anyone was to complain, they can just be like we offer free warrantees.  But too many people I'm sure don't bother to check that out.

aight so skullcandy has a decent warranty their stuff isnt to expensive i would never buy skullcandy earbuds why.. theres no point there same as any other earbud however the more dj styled headphones have many different colors,styles, and graphics its kinda like wearing a piece of art on your head/

I've tried a couple of different ones on, the durability is pretty good, and the sound vs. price is on par with sennheiser. as far as riding with them goes, they would probably hold up really well, but they don't have a model cheap enough (for me) to wear on hill. i'd be worried about breaking them if i landed badly, and unlike skullcandy, you can't just say "oh they snapped can i have another pair?"
good for DJ, or just chillin, but yeah you probably wouldn't want to ride with them unless you have enough spare cash to not give a fuck when they break.

i have some FMJ's. they crapped out once after about a year of use but got them warranteed and they've been good since.
i don't use them a ton though.

Probably so. I was talking to my boss (manager of a ski shop) and when I was talking about there awesome warranty even she had no clue what I was talking about. So I doubt a lot of people actually know about the lifetime warranty.

And to whoever said they weren't cheap...really? Cuz 20 bucks for a pair of headphones that have lasted me 3 years is pretty cheap in my book. And who pays full price for skullcandy anyway...
