Need Guitar Help!

So, this probably isnt the best place to post this but it'll probably get me replies the fastest...

Im pretty much a noob at guitars, been playing for 8 or 9 months... and my string broke for the first time. So im trying to replace it, and i removed the string but it has broken somehow so that theres just a little bit of the string poking out from the bit at the bottom, and its not enough for me to be able to push it through the back...

Basically, theres a little bit of string broken off so its stuck in the body of the guitar, and i cant pull it out or force it out the back because there isnt enough string sticking out to force through...



I have a crappy Fender Squire (i think thats what its called), and i dont know what to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.





inb4 take it to a guitar store... im going to tomorrow if there isnt an easy way to fix this tonight.

try poking the broken piece out with something small if you didn't try it already.

do you have a string through body? you probably don't know the answer to that question..

Tried poking it out, wont go anywhere...


And i dont know what that is... The strings do go through the body? Its the same as every other Fender im pretty sure.

you should be able to loosen your bridge and pull it out easily

Indeed. Its stuck in the body of the guitar. Ive tried pulling it out with pliers through the front way, but thats not working, and there isnt enough string poking out for me to force it through the back...

First, if it's a Fender Squier then it will have a standard floating style trem.The problem will be the ball end of the string is jammed. If you use the broken string and bend it (much easier if it unwound) you can make a little hook, loop it through the ball end and pull it out. It will be coming out of the back of the guitar. If you take the trem cavity cover (back plastick plate) off it will make the process 1000 times easier.

im a bit lost so pics would be great.

i've taken off the back plastic thingy but i still dont really know what to do.
do you mean i should make a hook and try slot it through the hole where i would put a new string in the back??? because i dont see how a hook can fit in that slot the hole is only wide enough for just the string it seems.
