IPod help needed

my ipod keeps on effing up. Now its saying please connect to itunes and when i connect it to my computer it wont recognize it . Now it is stuck on the okay to disconnect. Any one can help me plz?

its a 80gig ipod classic

hold menu and enter , it just resets it

you have to flick the hold button back and forth 10 times then press menu and enter until the screen goes black. then switch into disk mode by pressing play/pause and enter as soon as the apple logo appears.

connect via disk mode to your computer. should reset it and then unplug and switch back to regular by holding menu and enter again.

try all that stuff, the best way would be reseting it but if that doesnt work then take it to the apple store, they are probably the most helpful people to anything apple, dey will solve yo problem probably fo free

Now when ever i reset it it shows up woth this

um maybe try installing a new version of itunes
 or trying a different usb port
or calling apple?
