I'm rebuilding my guitar and I'm looking for a good metal pickup. i was looking at the EMG H3A, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

Depends on what type of music you're playing. If you're looking into EMG's that's gonna be good for some metal or other overdriven/distorted tones but they probably won't be that good for cleans. Check out some dimarzio pick ups, they're definately my favorite

sorry didn't realize you said metal tones. but regaurdless, go with EMG or Dimarzio for good metal tones

Dimarzio Evolution pickups sound great for overdrive tones and pretty good clean, because their not active, but do have real high output and tones of overtones.
