I had some public enemies mounted dead center and they actually ripped pretty good. Seeing as how its the same ski I don't see why it wouldn't work if you really wanted to do that..
mount them center. I have ridden my friends that are at the center line on the ski, which is not center, and you can notice a big weight difference between the tip and tail. you will still have this even at centered, but because the shovel is so huge on the Extreme, it will help center out the weight. i personally like the feel of a centered non-symmetrical ski over a symmetrical ski.
i'm only asking cause i never was that fond of my centered disorderlys, and i'm trying to decide if my next ski should be symmetrical (walls). i've never skied a centered non-symmetrical ski.
well i find that the tails on my invaders are hooky and they take a couple runs to get used to. My chronics are also centered, and i find it easier to slide out my tails if I have to stop or to slow down. I think the narrower tail is easier to control than a symmetrical tail. even though the tip and tail difference is only 3 mm on my chronics, but it way just be the fact that my invaders are 171's and too small. Idk, i just found the tails on my invaders catchy when trying to slide to slow down like when coming into a rail
