Tearing a thumb muscle?

Hey its been more then 2 weeks now and my thumb is still fucked up.
i can move it around fine but i cant use it for anything, strength wise. i cant pick up stuff using my thumb at all!!! its also still swollen. I have a good feeling i tore a muscle in it, since i cant really put any strength into it.!
basically, i cant pick up a school book using my thumb.

Im just asking around if anyone else has had this problem?

butt plugging will help it heal faster.

When I have overextended my thumbs in the past, they get better within a week or two, I would get it checked out.

yeah get that looked at
i broke my thumb and when i tried to apply strength it just hurt like none other but it didn't move fine but have no strength like yours does

yea i did that to myself when i was younger, something was broken but there was no solution to the problem. make an appointment with the doc if youre older than 13.

yeah... im soo dumb. i thought it was just typical skiers thumb and now Im going to play tennis on this trip, missing my last weekend of skiing. Fuck my life.

This happened to me a few years ago i tore the ligament  and it basically coiled up towards my thum and they had to pin it back. id deff get it checked out because my mom was too much of a cheap jew to bring me to the doctor and waited about 3 weeks when it was black and blue and had no strength

ahhh yeah same with my mom. she is being a jew about it too, when the insurance will most likely pay for it all.

i landed on my thumb onetime and had a similar prob but it went away after 2-3 weeks, i did notice steadyimprovement with it so you should probably get a x ray or a MRI. themthumbs are important they separate us from the animals.

yup it was the same with us or we had a co pay of 15 dollars...that turned into a medical bill of a few thousand cause i had to get surgery to repin the ligament hahah sucks for themm but deff get to the doctor asap

Oh shit you might have torn a ligament. I had this happen too I could move it and all but could not  grasp anything. I thought I just tweaked it when I fell but when I reached down to pic up my poles after the fall it was just impossible. Like the girl said above, I had to get surgery and a pin put in. It takes a hella long time to heal. I'm still currently healing from it mid season. If this is the case for you I'm sorry to hear that.

see a doctor, then get an xray, last resort get an mri, they're expensive and they suck

dude thanks guys, this thread made me convinced to stand up to my jew mom and go to the walk in medical clinic
 first the doctor just thought i had a really bad sprain. I was mad that i was wrong again about another possible injury and was just waiting for the verbal beating i had ahead with my mom about money and time wasted and such. The doctor walks in, says, waling around 2 weeks without any support, thinking ur super man? i didnt get the joke at fist but after x ray showed my thumb towards the bottom was obviously cracked and had been broken.

well now no more tennis this weekend and just chill and film at the hill. stoked!
