Hollywood Ski Movie at Universal Studios, HELP!

I wrote a ski movie, its like a modern version of Hot Dog the movie, but totally original and it takes place at ski camp. The screenplay is called 'SNOWCAMP'. I hollywood production company read it and loved it, I also sent it to Moseley and he loves it and wants to be a part of it. The producer has gotten the script over to Universal Studios, and they are considering spending millions and millions of dollars on a budget for this movie. I need each of you to go to Universalstudios.com then proceed to 'enter our universe' after that to 'contact us' accept and enter, then go to movies under entertainment and send them a note saying that 'Snowcamp' is a great Idea and should get made! When it does everybody will go see it becouse it will have a cult following and be box office gold! This is for real, but to ensure this movie gets made we need to do this. Also I can assure you that its a story true to the sport of skiing! Lots of skiing action and tons of American pie styled humor! Moseley has a small part as himself, as does Plake and I would love to get all the top guys in in that fashion. However the lead roles and so on will be left up to hollywood actors. Thanks again, and don't forget to drop a not to universal studios!

PS this script is nothing like the recent crap that always depicts snowboarding as cool and skiing as uncool, this story is similar only to Hot Dog the movie and American Pie. Its all about skiing and shows that skiers go bigger than anything else sliding down the snow. thanks again, Tom

good idea. I say put Moseley in it for a small part. I mean, yeah he doesn't represent skiing to US (the newschool community) but to people who have barely heard of newschool skiing will reconize him and then get into the community and then realize why he doesn't represent. Plake would be awesome in a movie, that laugh of his would draw in box office success immediately.

Ace of spades, this is not BS. As a former sponsered rider, and former coach at SMS I know skiing. And I have written a few scripts in my life and I know writting. This one has been under develoment for a year and a half. I have connections in skiing still, and this script is in LA at Universal studios at this time. The production company is prepared and they now need the money put up by a studio. Understand that over 30,000 scripts are registered every year, and about 300 movies are made each year, universal looks at a couple hundred scripts a year and they only look at scripts that are given to them by agents or production companies only a couple hundred of that they invest in maybe ten. They will not look at a script from JohnQ off the street. This movie has a budget, it has a scheduled shooting time what it now needs is money. We are currently trying to get a major soft drink company involed and thats looking good. What helps universal decide this is a script they should invest in is intest from people, the people who pay to see the movies. With help from all of you this movie happen a lot sooner rather than a lot later. Thanks again for your help, and remember to go to universalstudios.com and send them a comment to make this movie! Its 70% newschool, 20% big mountain/backcountry with new school off the cliffs & booters and then 5% skiercross 5% mogul. NO spandex racers I promise. Plus some sk8ing, some snomobile stuff and all the other cool stuff you can think of that Whistler has to offer. definitely get seth and tanner ane all the guys who are throwing it down for stunt doubles and shit. It would also be sick to have some world record trick in it, like an 810 off a rail or something. I figure with the budget the movie will get, you could pimp out a rediculous rail for that.

well good luck with everything man, you obviously have a lot of dedication and love for skiing. just do your best to keep the movie true to what you want and don't let some hollywood execs turn it into some generic, piece of shit, horribly done movie like grind. a lot of things could go wrong with this in the movie business, so good luck and thanks.

Go to universalstudios.com the go to the 'enter out universe' part of the website after that go to the 'contact us' accept thier terms, enter and then to to movies click on it and send them a message. I can not give away the storyline in great detail, and the script legally can not be given out. But the story is basically about a kid who wins a free summer at a ski camp at whistler, during which time he has to prove himself good enough to go pro and also represent against snowboarders in a kind of underground comp between skiing and snowboarding. Along with a bunch of smaller sub-plots. There is lots of 'R' rated humor and basically everything you hope to see and do while at whistler. Again thanks for your help everyone! Tom

but the whole skier vs. snowboarder thing's pretty played out..johnny tsunami??..it even reminds me of better off dead..even though it was skier vs. skier in that..but that movie was fucken sweet anyways..
but it could be pretty cool though..i hope it works out..i'll definitely go see it once..probably more..

DONT MAKE THIS SHIT, by shit a mean movie. Look at stakeboarding, do you want this sport all over kids haveing them doing siwtch misty 630s to font slides to dubble back flips off? Cuse it will become skateboarding and skateboarding has lost all of what it had, a counter culture that kids that dont want to be into 'main strem' did. Inline was saved when it didnt look good enugh to sell usless items so it stays unergound not even the best guys fell they need to compeat in X-games and shit like that. I dont want little kids to talk about skiing like they do skateboarding (if you hear them talk about it you will know what i mean). I want some room in the park and not have to worrie more about have to land on a kid trying to 'get big air'. Or haveing a Super asom jib toy from MC Ds and haveing parents think (even more) that this is a fad and a waste of time. Why do you ski? I ski to have fun, live my life in the way I want to I dont want people saying 'Skiing is just a fad, evey one is doing it'.
