i heard that pretty well half of next years skis got rocker, which is DOPE!!! i got the alpha ones and rocker on a park is the sweetest thing ever!!!!

i'm talking park skis bra, and the alpha is the only rockered park ski this year. an i use them everywhere, they are the best skis for jumping and suprisingly good in pipe.

how does the alpha 1 handle in pow? i know it's a thin waist for pow, but the rocker has to help at least some right?

so coming from the guy who uses pow skis in the park is saying a park ski with early rise tip and tail which helps with buttering, pressing and not as likely to catch ur tips off jumps hes saying its pointless, well that fucker sure knows alot.

Regardless of what the ski was meant for, it is still a rockered twin. You can still get the full benefits of a rocker from them while skiing in the park.

If anything the bents would be better for presses and butters due to their softer tips and tails.

Aside from that I can't even decipher the rest of what you said. You are mis interpreting the things that other people have said so far. You need to chill out.

yup my ep's pretty much took over as my main park ski, they are amazing! you can butter anything like crazy, your tips arent all catchy on take offs, and the rocker lets you press out so far on rails and stuff, plus they have a ton of pop which suprised me.
they arent great for going through the park doing 9's and 10's off the jumps, then like 450's on and off rails. you ski the park totally different. like if theres a jump line of 3 jumps ill do one normal, butter the knuckle of the next, and use the side of the jump as a take off on the next. any little roller you see you can hold nose butters for like 3 seconds, off smaller rails you can land in a butter and do some butter combo off. for barrel bonks you can press the shit out of them. you can do like surfer slash to butter combo's even off knuckles, like slash but get really back on your tails, whip it around to your noses and butter 5 out. on lower rails you can even like nose butter to pop the tails up over the rail, get on the rail and slide it. and this is me, just some random dude thats ok at skiing, when more people start doing it its gonna get crazy.

so yeah its definatly better, ive been hitting 40-50 footers and as long as you land sorta centered theres no problems, you would really have to land far backseat to fuck up, but then riding out of a jump in a butter is sweet! its like surfing, skating, snowboarding, and skiing all rolled into one, it just opens up so many possibilities, i dont look at jumps the same anymore, instead of seeing one and thinking ok ill ride up do a 5 or something and thats it, i look at the entire jump setup, the landing, the sides of the landing, the sides of the take off, the knuckle and try to think of some wierd way to hit it

i really hope more people make rockered park skis, the alpha 1's seem kind wierd, some guy i talked to said they were stiff as hell, which would take away the whole surfey buttery feel.
a rockered anthem, kung fujas, or maybe something around 100-110 like the elizabeth thats rockered and meant for park would be awesome.

I don't know what's going on....But juice.banger needs to be stopped.

To whoever asked about why rocker is better: Buttering is on a whole new level, no catching tips on switch take offs or switch ups (surface switch ups is like cheating sshhhhh) presses go a lot better and they just make everything a lot more fun and enjoyable.

word that guy needs to be banned, he is a complete tool.

i wasnt asking really how its better, i was saying how is it necessary because you said you beg to differ when someone said it was unnecessary in park meaning you feel it is necessary. i can butter graeat on my non rockered skis, i can do presses perfectly fine, and switchups are already easy. catching your tips can still happen it would just happen further down the ski

It's definitely not necessary.

I love the way a rockered ski performs. It's not like you can't press / butter etc. without them, it just makes it smoother. It all comes down to personal preference. I still see the merits of a traditional park ski.

i love the way a traditional ski butters, it gives but still has some resistance so you can pop off of them, i love to do nose butter cork 5s, ive tried it on my bents and its just not the same. even though they are sick for just like a nose butter 3 or tail butter to handrags

Yeah definitely.

Rockered skis still have give to the tips, they're just bent at such an angle that it requires a little readjustment from how you're used to riding.

My only complaint is that landings can seems kind of sketchy, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for a fun all around ski.

my ep's have better pop than most park skis ive had.
as for butters, yeah i do like the way cambered skis pop you out, you can do it on rockered skis, it just takes ALOT of practice, i still barely have it down.
but still being able to hold a nose butter for like 20 feet is cooler to me, no if i can just get the popping out of butters down id be set!

i looove the pop on my on3p fatty rockers, just lean back a tad and just feel your tails pop, so fun.

and honestly on jumps where i probably wouldn't be flexing back like that i'm not hindered one bit

And pretty well everygood pow ski has them so the alpha 1's are pretty well skinny pow skis with lot's more pop and tank edges!

When I think about rockered park skis I think that I wud eat shit trying to land switch... I tend to land leaning forward alittle to much when I land switch can anyone tell me if it really messes you up.. Also anyone know if the Cedric pro model from Moment is rockered?

The Alpha 1 has such minimal rocker. It really doesnt effect the way the ski rides at all. I have a set and they rip as hard or harder on groomers than anything i have ever had. And on the alpha the rocker barely does anything to help you butter. It is a moderatly stiff ski so its not much a butter tool.
