Why put rubber in the toe? Doesnt that just imply that they know the boot sucks, and cant hold you in. They expect you to slam around inside the boot and get toe bang, so instead of fixing the shitty boot design, they just put a bandaide on it?
If you ski enough it's bound to happen. My friend skis well over 100 days a year and the last 4 pairs of boots he's had (all different brands) have been great for him, but he still loses toenails eventually.
