wolf creek ski area last year. 51' in ONE day. the powder was soooo deep I needed a snorkle. seriously, it was the best day ever because I went down tree lines making turns where the snow went up to my chest....kinda scary when it's that deep.

Squaw, I think it was like Dec. 29, 2002. I was second person of the season on the broken arrow chair. Waist deep turns for 2000' vertical. The only reason I didn't sink to my neck was I was going about fourty miles per hour, That's when I realized that pocket rockets aren't very good at high speeds.
When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.(think about it)
'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

i was at eldora last year when they got 40' overnight. the shitty thing was that it was eldora, easily the worst mountain in colorado. besides that i remember a day probably four years ago in snowmass when the got three feet overnight.
Prolly about knee-midthigh deep. I dont get too much light stuff at meadows, but one time had a nice set of storms and then got Heather canyon right after they took downt the ropes for the first time in ~1-2 weeks. That was awesomest run of my life :-)

Crystal Mountain a few years ago- 60 cm overnight, 30 cm night before, and 50cm during the day. It was ridiculous, we were getting constant face shots on a cat track. The steep runs such as bear pits, and sunnyside were so nice--unbelievable. ( no backcountry was needed)
4ft. at Wolf Creek, CO. We were the last car up the pass then they shut it down. It was a Sunday and there were maybe 100 people at the resort. Needless to say fresh lines for days. Too bad back then the widest ski you could find was probably around 80 or 90 mm at the tip. Still, a truly epic day.
last march at crystal like 5 feet of fresh, was with the patrol when northback opened, it was chest deep but over the head when turning, it was actually really scary, if i had fallen i probly would have died. True untracked all the way down 3000 vert and even the normally shitty run-out to the shuttle stop was untracked. I have had countless days with waist deep snow, thank god for the west coast.

3 years ago at smuggs, 2 huge storms rolled in. they had the madonna lift on windhold for 2 days. on the third day at noon the lift had opened, the storm was still goin. there was a fight between about 100 people waiting since 10, when they said madonna was opening at noon. me and a pal got the 4th chair on a 60 something inch 3 day storm.

That is a croc of shiiitt. 51 inches equals 7 feet in one day? The resort would have should the place down due to high avie danger. Alta interlodge perhaps. I believe your day was depp but cut the BS its too seethrough.
My day Japanese alps epic year oflight dry powder tail end of a 4 day storm. waist and chest deep powder, everyturn was blinding. No one sking in the trees but my, cause it was a weekday and it was Japan.
P.S. JAPAN HAS SICK POWDER
last year i found a waist 40' in the trees at killington. its still my favorite stash and its so nicely hidden that i can usually get knee deep fresh in there. too bad its only 200 yards long :(
