OK My computer has virus.

I'm pretty choked!  I cant update my virus database.  and the good thing is these are my instruments i can use... i have 1 laptop two desktops... one of my computers is a dell and i'm not really gonna go any further the other one has two hard drives... one from the dell... i also have a portable hard drive and a goldfish memeory go!

try this http://www.malwarebytes.org/

i had to download on a different computer, put on flash drive, then install it in safe mode on my computer. this got rid of my virus.

i also use http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html for antivirus/resident protection.

I would suggest throwing your computer on the ground, yelling for a bit, then jumping up and down on top of it while humming "The Simpsons" theme song.

That's roughly how much I know about computers.

nope, clean for over a year. i remember i did have to get rid of a few remaining virus files by hand though. The specific virus was the "antivirus xp 2008" virus. no idea how i got it.

My computer has been acting weird lately. About 3 times a day after i log off, or right when i log on, my computer shuts off.
I run norton everyday and it says i dont have any viruses, and when i scan the file that caused my computer to shut down it says it doesnt contain a virus.
Pisses me off.

thats because norton fucking sucks.

I got that antivirus pro 2008, its a real bad one. Took me a while but I finally got rid of it. However, I still have a good deal of lesser spyware I can't seem to shake, it just keeps coming back.

I think I'm going to reinstall my drive sometime soon.
