How did you find out that santa wasn't real?

just over time i came to realize that he was not real.  also when i slep in the room next to my parents and had the door open, but could not go to sleep from the anticipation and saw my mom come out of the room with an armfull of boxes in her hand.  That was a huge hint, and finalized the deal on how i found out he was not real.

haha when i was sleeping my parents brought out the presents and my dad tripped over a chair and threw them everywhere, and I woke up, walked out, and found out santa doesnt exist

i walked into my parents room and the closet door was open. i was like 5. i never really believed in santa though, i just never thought he was real. and i always saw presents behind my parents bedroom door, even thought those may not have been the ones "from Santa"

i figured it out just by growing up.

and now looking back i feel like a dumbass. Now i hear my parents moving the stuff every christmas eve, and i noticed that somewhere on each gift, on some corner or something there is tiny writing with the first initial of our first name just so my mom doesn't forget what goes to who.

Well, actually he divorced misses Claus when they were younger so he really just wasn't around because of depression from the divorce  your mom should keep her legs closed she really fucked xmas up, literally

only reason i clicked this thread was to see how many losers tried to make this joke.  for some reason it pisses me off so much when people try to act like they didnt know santa was fake, and it was just ruined for them.  unless someone under 6 says it because it might then be true. 

so to anyone who tried to make a variation of this joke in this thread,  your not funny.

I ended up being terrified one Christmas, because I thought Santa was still going to be there, so I wouldn't come out of my room. Then my parents and brothers tried to pull me down the hallway but I was screaming and crying because I thought Santa was gonna be there, and maybe hurt me or something. I think it was sometime around then that they told me to try and calm me down.

i was at zamzow's (a pet/garden store) with my mom and I noticed that they were selling coal at the register.  I thought that was weird cause Santa gives coal to bad kids so why would a store be selling coal to people?  I made the logic jump and realized that if a store was selling coal for people to buy then those were the people putting coal in kid's stocking and not Santa.

i was 8. i was on a school trip in march and our teacher at the museum said something like so what do your parents get you for easter and i was like whaaaaaat and shes like ohhh shit and that night i went home and said mom is the easter bunny real she paused and i said what about santa  and ya. that was that. I would prob still believe if it wasnt for that museum lady.

my parents got home real late one night from x-mas shopping.  The next morning, I went in the garage and in the back of my parents car were all of our presents.  And on x-mas day some of those present were from "santa."  I kinda had an idea that santa wasn't real, but that sealed the deal.

finding the wrapping paper laying around my parents room. could it just be a coincidence that santa wraps all of my gifts with the same paper my parents wrap my gifts? oh, not to mention, santa has the same handwriting as my parents. i'm sure i heard it at school for the first time (there's always that jackass that's into porn, knows the meaning of all the dirty words, basically introduces you to a world you don't want to be a part of), but the things i listed above certainly confirmed my suspicion

I kind of knew it all along. By the time I was old enough to know Santa existed, I was old enough to understand that like church, it was a nice story, but not real. I guess the connections to my parent just seemed too obvious. I had no problem with the idea of a fabricated being who flew around in a sleigh on Christmas and left me presents though, so I kept my mouth shut.
