Shasta isn't bad for it's size. They only have three lifts but the park crew makes the best of it. Their pipe is more like a stunt gutter but once they get the park dialed in, they aren't afraid to try shit and build jumps and jibs that may even be questionable for their insurance. Powder days are only fun if you know where to go since the resort isn't al that steep.
As for the mountain itself, hiking and getting solid runs into late june and sometimes july isn't unheard of. Even before the actual resort opens, you can always drive up to bunny flats where there's usually some sort of rail or small jumps setup. If you have a sled the backcountry is endless. Rage and poorboyz have been hittin up Shasta for the past few years and I'm pretty sure Mt. Eddy as well.
