its good on powder days to wipe your goggles off with a rag thats soaking wet because it's been riding through pow all day? doesn't make sense.....my question is directed to the people who wear them in the park when they obviously serve no function....and don't say to wipe your nose - i've never seen a single person wipe their nose with one

i use the goggle bag that came with my goggles that i keep nice and DRY all the way inside my pocket to clean my goggles off

No when i have a long sleeve shirt on under my jack and it gets too hot i tie it to my belt. Then it looks like one of those cool rags that are all the rage.

i dont really mind people haveing doo-rags doestn have one myself, but i would be nice to have on hot spring or summer days when your hitting the park to whipe of your face with or something.. i dont know

Okay, lot's of things don't serve a purpose in skiing. say for example your graphics on your skis? your colourful 200 doller lense. your over-sized baggy pants. your bling blang. I see a 'doo rag' or whatever you want to call it no diffrent. ITs style. But its only lame if you dont have a original one and just try to copy someone else. Personally, i tsink the people who say its 'lame' or 'gay' just dont have enough self confindice to rock one. :)

graphics on skis.....ok all ski companies should now make blank skis and never produce a graphic
$200 goggle lenses....i hope you didn't pay that much.....plus diff lenses serve the FUNCTION of enhancing contrast or blocking sunlight
baggy pants.....actually serve the PURPOSE of allowing more freedom of movement, although some people take it too far for sure

yeah I used to ski with a superman cape, it still comes out occasionally. I tied kercheifs to my poles in an attempt to mock the hang towel people, although it does kinda make me feel like steven tyler with the scarves and such that dangle from his mic stand...rock n' roll man

My first skicross comp ever, when I came back to my skis after a break to get some food, a big hemp rope braid thingy was tied to my left ski, its about 15' long. I placed second at that comp, so I tied it to my pants and i wear it for good luck.

thats supposed to read 15 INCHES, not feet. BTW, as far as the doo rag or bandana thing goes, whats the difference? If you don't like it, don't wear one, but don't rag on someone else because they want to. If we all start criticizing people for wearing certain things, whether they be immitating someone else or not, we'll all just start to look exactly the same as well as shun other people from the sport. Nobody wants to be criticized...
