Coolers....wow my friends are gay.

thank you for someone finally not hating on me.

and today just out of curiosity i asked a bunch of girls i know and some of my friends who didnt go to the party what they though about this and they all said its gay. so dont get pissed at me as you can see most people( atleast at my school) have an unwritten rule that girls drink coolers at party's and guys drink beer and hard liqour so i was kinda influenced by that.

P.s. dont even try vex, i know before i said i liked it but thinking back now it was mike's hard. I remember drinking vex and getting bloated and feeling nacious( not from the alchohol but from the drink it self). They are way to sugary for my liking.

seeing as i just figured out mike's hard is considered a cooler i kinda take back( slightly) what i said. Mike's hard is damn good when hanging around and stuff but i still thinks its weird at party's to drink stuff thats in all the color's of the rainbows and have flavor's such as "wild berry blast" "passion berry" "tropical explosion"

Im in my late teens, and everybody's insecurities are super high, also im canadain, so if you dont drink beer people say your not a man and shit. personally i dont like beer, i think its funny though, cause anyone who bases their masculinity on what type of liquid they drink has some isues.

basically my viewpoint is, why should i drink some shit that i hate the tast of, and takes a relatively large volume of to get drunk, when i can drink some hard shit, and get drunk fast on lesser actual amount of liquid? is that what "being a man is"? drinking some weak watered down alcohol? it really seems backwards to me, everyone who's trying to act all macho and tough is drinking the stuff with the lowest alcohol content. its like a guy playing with fire crackers saying a guy playing with grenades isn't as manly as him. my whole goal is to get a good level of drunkinness going. lets say drunkiness is my destination, theres two roads, the super long, shitty bullshit road (beer), or the short highway (hard liquor), and im not looking to see the sights on my way there, well im taking the short highway, it just makes sense.

now i personally dont like beer, and dont see the point in 'cracking a cold one' after work. but some people do, some peolpe have different reasons for drinking than i do, so im not gonna say which is better or call anyone anything for drinking something. however you want to get shitterd, go ahead, just dont be the douche trying to call someone out for drinking something, you just end up looking like a tool.

but thankyou for putting how your Canadian in there because i think this might be a big factor in this argument. Like Im pretty sure there are more americans on the forums than canadians and maybe in the US they might not have this notion that coolers are gay for guys to drink. Because like i said earlier after talking to a bunch of people (girls guys, grade 12 "grade 11's other grade 10's  and even some my cousins and his friends who are in college) and everyone i talked to agreed with me that thats just a bit weird. And i wasnt biased when asking them i just said "Do you thinks its kinda gay for guys to drink coolers at partys" so its not like they were agreeing with me because they know me.

I totally see your point in the whole point about getting drunk off of something that has a good taste( well depends what your drinking) and a higher alcohol content. Make's sense when you put i that way.

I guess i would drink more coolers like mike's hard at parties and shit if it was as easy to get as beer ( if i plan ahead i guess it would be easy to get) but im pretty sure beer is cheaper and i would get called gay if i drank it.

I never called the guys out on it  either, i wouldnt go up to them and be like " wow you are fucking gay" we were all drunk and having a goodtime, there still my friends no matter what they drink.

as long as it gets you fucked up i'll drink it.  i dont give a shit if its blue purple brown or black.

This thread reminded me of why I never come to this site anymore. the immaturity of nearly everyone in this thread proves to me how truly prepubescent and hairless most of you pathetic d bags are.  I am just glad I am from KY where people arent afraid to throw in a copenhagen, drink a bud heavy and have a good time. peace I probably will never be back

Yeah I see where you are coming from.

I was at a party on the weekend and all us girls were bagging the shit out of some of the guys for brinign cruisers cos we were on beers. But its fine for guys of htis age to drink the "chicks" drinks becuase they can probably drink a lot more of these than they can bottles of beer becuase they have like half the alcohol content.  It probs makes then feel better to drink like 6 cruisers or what ever instead of like 4 beers.  Once they get older its probs going to be something they grow out of.

i wasnt neccessarily calling you a douche/tool, i was calling the people who think men olny drink beer and if you drink anything else your gay, douchebags and tools ahah. if you identify with that group of people then i guess i was though lol. and i forgot to add this, and it might change how you viewed my comment - even though its a bit hypocritical, i think that when guys drink actual coolers it is a bit weird, i totally agree with you, and the people you asked, on that. i cant explain it, maybe its the friuty taste, or the bright colors of the drink, but theres something weird about a bunch of guys drinking coolers at a party, if you can get coolers, you can probably get hard liquor, so just get that.

anyways, i wasnt trying to call you out specifically, i was focusing more on the 'anything thats not a beer is gay for a man to drink' thing....but i would never personally drink a cooler haha

In my initial post i wasnt trying to sound like that " Men drink beer and if you drink anything else your a women/fag/pussy" thats not what i meant to say but after re reading what i wrote i can see how people took it that way. I think thats the biggest reason people are hating is because there reading my post and thinking that im that type of guy who say's that shit.

The only time i would really drink a cooler was if there was nothign else to drink, and if i did end up drinking it i would probably put it in a glass so it didnt look so colorful.
