I went cold turkey about 14 days ago. I know that's not a long time, but for me it is. I was smoking weed about 5 times a week and drinking a similar amount. I quit because a friend of mine was smoking to much and it was affecting his college academics, so we made an agreement that we'd be sober for all of first quarter, and then decide where we'd go from there.
This has caused a number of problems.
Number one, I've become addicted to coffee. Ridiculous as it sounds I drink 2-3 cups a day. I can't stop haha.
Number Two, All I think about is smoking weed. I walk around campus, do my homework, I'm acing my classes. I don't have a physical need to smoke, so much as a psychological need.
I'm wondering if any of you are 'retired' weed smokers and if you had similar feelings and cravings when you quit.
I know what that is like. I used to smoke a lot but that was like 2 years ago. You should find a sport and with drinking a lot of coffee I wouldn't worry I drink a fuck ton of tea and coffee so don't worry
dude, i went skiing two weeks ago and the feeling from that is way better than being high. i havent smoked since because it just gave me the greatest feeling. it was way better and more natural than smoking weed. it might sound weird but skiing or watever your favorite thing might be might help you realize you dont need it.
