The bottom of jetskis are designed to be able to take impact at speed, so that wouldnt have done too much damage.

ive seen videos of way more pointless shit than this online...my guess is that they were drinking and it sounded like a good idea at the time..."hey guys, lets go jetskiing in the hot tub...it'll be hilarious..."  i know its not necessarily hilarious, but looks like it was a good way to waste an hour in the middle of the afternoon....
