i just got a call from my boy dan and Tim windell is officially the biggest douchebag ever and fired the entire video crew for apparently no legit reason at all suddenly, besides more profit for him. 6 years of dedication with bearly and pay for thousands of hours of hard work every summer and its just done like that.. He just fucked over my friends lives at least temporarily and the chillest Boss I have ever had, is now unemployed with bills and rent piling up and will probably have to move. Banned from windells park and campus , summer ruined for all the filmers who now need to find a way to get home and will loose hundreds of dollars. The only reason I am not in the same situation is cause i broke my cam and had to take this summer off. Anyways respect to everyone who chose not to support this guy and attend other summer camps that still have some morals

my brothers living in NYC for $400 a month with a rich ass family, drinks a bottle of champagne every night with fucking amazing food, gets to ride in a jag to work everyday and gets paid $20 an hour to be an intern.

but yeah, internships suck.

my bosses daughter is interning in chicago with an accountant firm thing that only deals with high rollers. high rollers being people with over $10 million is when they start to consider dealing with you. she goes out everynight, rides in limos, gets paid a ton of money, goes out to the hottest bars/clubs, all as an intern. oh and all of the past interns have been offered full time jobs later...

yeah interns dont always suck

i don't know all the details, but I know that some interns were offered jobs with the new video staff, some were offered other ways to stay at Windells for the summer and some choose to go home.

First post but whatever.

I was one of the film interns at Windells and I was waiting to get out to Mt. Hood to start filming since just about last september. Since then, all of my future summer plans were arranged around the job.
The day I get out to Oregon, I get a call saying Tim Windell cancelled the program.

Anyways, Im just writing to let all of you know what all the interns have been doing since then, since some of you were wondering.

We decided to try to keep the house we were staying in for as long as possible. I for one didnt have enough money to stay out there and pay rent, so I stayed out there for a week and a half and rode a little, and just chilled and had some fun. Now im back home in Shitty CT wondering how in the world my summer got so fucked up. My buddy and fellow intern Dan, ended up leaving a few days before me, because he too could not afford to stay out there any longer without camp paying rent for us.
Two Interns, Blair and Jake, got rehired by the new Main filmer Tyler Malay (tylermalay.com). I'm guessing they got picked solely because they previously new Tyler, or something like that. The two other interns, Benji and Brendon are staying out there for the summer on their own money just to ride and have a good time. They are staying with the two interns who got rehired, by the way they still have to pay their rent, even though they are working for windells. Eric, whom all of you know by now, had to leave and is currently working on a future project. Thats bassically it.

Out of the 6 guys i had come out here, 2 of them are still filming for camp. -but for NO $. Tim ended up hiring two (separate) other people, who used to be my interns, (and who last year came out as private contractors themselves....)
So after i was gone, The two new video guys/gals, got 2 of my current kids to just film and edit for NO $ and no housing. They are living at my old place and paying rent. Tim offered one of my top guys a place to stay, crammed in with other campers, but it wasnt worth it.
Two other interns left, and the last two guys are kicking it at my old place, paying rent, and riding when they feel like!
So to sum it up, only two of my interns/sess. video guys are still filming for windells, but no one is getting any money, only two of them getting riding and eating privalages. Which works out in it's own way tho too......
