Hes been skiing there for 40 yrs. Has some odd job that allows him to ski every day and he knows everything about the mountain, to the point where it wouldn't matter if he went blind. His gear is out of date by at least 3 years but you know he gets way more pow than you do, and if he watches you shredding down something, he'll maybe show you some goods. Hes got greying hair and a touring setup, and is fucking awesome when you get to know him. Hes my favorite skier because I want to be this guy-Guddgulf
a friend of mine from new england was driving through georgia on a road trip and he ends up getting pulled over for speeding. the cop goes "son you were goin 80 in a 60. no one goes that fast through georgia." my friend responds with "well, Sherman did"
I skied Hellbents for the first time a few weeks ago in good conditions and I don't really see their worth. The only things they were good for were messing around switch in pow and keeping you from getting stuck in flat areas.
