i'm not positive because i've never been, but i'm pretty sure it's mainly a product promotion to get retailers to sign up for shipments of the next season's gear. i do know that a lot of the hard-good manufactures only change their graphics for the "proto goods" of the coming season, and not the actual guts (i.e. skis) even though they say it'll be changing. other than that, there are a very limited selection of booths that may perhaps sell a very limited selection of goods. most don't, though, so don't get your hopes up.
In the 5th grade i asked a girl out and then ran away as fast as i could. It was awesome.
