JD went insane and   SLAYED!. he got real tech on the down rail and did some disasters too. LJ also got tech on the downrail.  Will wesson killed as usual, doing shit that went above the judges heads.  But the thing is, you have snowboard judges. They dont see the rediculously techy tricks that will was doing, they dont understand. All they understand is "wow factor"  for the most part, so you have to find the right balance of tricks and shit. it might not be the best trick/most techy, but thats not what the aim of a rail jam is. The aim is to please the judges in whatever way you can.

anyway i heard everyone slayed, people should stop sliding the last part of the rails, snowboard judges  are probably the reason why it actually started going that way tho.


good thing jd did his 270 tricks, he got them all lol

I am glad skiing is getting back to rollerblade grinds, I thought those died with Nicki Adams in 2001.  I am down for them if they are actually stylish, but these sure as shit aren't.  Especially switching up from one half-assed shitty looking one into another forced one.  No one wonder people talk shit about them.  Get some style and actually make them flow before you start forcing them harder.  You look like Brian Boitano on aderall out there.

But anyways...i wish i could have gone. judges seem to be retarted towards a few people every year at that comp. wish i could have gone but its still sick to hear/see eyerything that happened. props to giray and lj for bein on the podium, and hopefully someday soon will and andy will be properly rewared for their crazy tech rail skills.

I like brogan, he's a nice kid, but I must argue that he isnt steezy, he just has "phantom arm peralysis". it works along the same lines as phantom limb inwhich many war vaterans amputees felt as if their limbs were still there even though they were not, Brogan often feels as if his arms are frozen at his side (most commonly observed during 270s gah!) when really he still retains full muscle mobility. poor kid

i could think about trying that stuff, then i remembered doing a 450 disaster onto a down rail kinda takes away the point of having a nice, mellow downrail to do real rail tricks on.

maybe i went big cause i was scared shitless of catching my tips on the rail.  and it isnt like those were the only tricks that i did.  in finals i did what i thought would please the judges because i wanted to win money.

yo cedric, i know what your sayin but you had to be there to understand what went on.  Anyone there would rather get techy but the fact is, the judges were looking for big shit.  They were looking to be impressed. they dont understand tech and presses, plain and simple judging by the fact that andy parry didnt make finals.  But it is so sick to see such massive and impressive stuff going down, its just insane to be there.  It would be cool if you could just do techy stuff to do well, but you cant at killington. Anyone can 270 on pretzel a rail, it takes a few standouts to go that big.  Wills tech is unmatchable tho

Your still a complete moron. Just because its not the right trick to do in a rail jam I would love to see anyone else attempt to 630 onto a down rail. I dont care if he kissed it, the kid has balls. If you can truthfully say that a lip 450's are a simple trick, then you need to get out some more and try skiing.

Lets see watch Pat Cowen do a lip 450, normal 450 270 out and a 630, or do a 270 on prez 270 out like every other kid in finals. Personally I think it’s important to skiing that kids do different things, and push away from each other tricks. That’s how skiing changes and evolves, with out people trying different things we are all going to be doing the same shit.

to be honest, i think the variety of ballsy tricks to techy tricks was pretty cool to watch... unfortunately i missed the comp, but in that small edit that was posted i saw a lot of cool shit. hopefully another edit will be posted at some point b/c that short one got me really stoked. props to everyone who was throwing down, looked like it was a blast.

I understand you guyz points, judges make us look like goofs.

 I know most people did it cause tehy wanted to win money.

the thing is, if  someone like will can get non lip switch 270  and landing on the first quater of the rail, people spinning 450, wich in my opinion are less prompt to tip/tail catching should land on the first half of the rail and not just bonking the last inches wihout actually sliding the rail.


I believe anyone would be just as impressed by a 450 on  to actual slide then a 270 or an opposite pretzel 270 out. I know jd can do it and im sure pat can do it too. I just dont think idsasters on a donw rail is cool anymore, if it ever was.

haha i would have to agree.. if he can 450 onto teh last to feet but also  630 on the last few feet that means he could have slowed down his rotation and slid at least 10 feet on the 450 therefore making it an actualy rail trick..


not saying that it was gay at all an that they suck cua they def do not.....

and that switch 270 was nuts same wiht lip 270
