The stupidest way to get hurt?

Well i have this friend and were in Quebec skiing on a trip for school. He was starting off on the bunny hills on a snowboard. He was doing fine and then he falls and breaks both arms because he falls kinda awkwardly. Ends up with both arms in slings for the next month. Like how the fuck do you do that. Break both arms on a bunny hill. They have skiers going like 100ft in the air know for those long distance jumps or in the Olympics where its freestyle skiing and they rarely get injured. Just thought you guys like that/ and i was just wondering if anyone else has a similar story of someone getting injured in a really stupid way.SRSLY 2 BROKEN ARMS on a BUNNY HILL

my friend was walking out fo the medical clinic on crutche after she got injured from skiing and ended up slipping on black ice and breaking three more bones. Back inside we go....

Piggyback race on ice on the first night in resort. Land head first on concrete and spend the next week in and out of the hospital. One eye swollen up and a fractured cheekbone so no skiing.

acl is definitely the knee and that is hilarious....


i lost control of a golf cart and flipped it. landing on top of me shattering my pelvis in three spots.  couldnt walk for 5 months.  wasnt too fun but i think the running from the cops takes the cake

I've never gotten seriously injured doing this but sometimes if I'm on a trail and I stop I will just tip over downhilll randomly. Its a stupid way to fall down though.

one of my friends was just cruzing and he caught an edge and broke his collar bone


a girl i work with stopped, was slightly leaned back, fell and broke her wrist


it doesnt matter where u are, u can still break a bone very easily. both of these people i know have taken hard hits before n not broken any bones, but its the little things that they got hurt on

i always fall on bunny hills but hardly ever on double blacks. its the difference of mindset, bunny hills i am hardly paying attention but anything difficult i plan my line.

my ex girlfriend broke her hip and both legs falling on the bunny hill when she was teaching someone else to board, she has broke something crazy like 56 bones, she anemic though, dont know if that has anything to do with it

my friend was slayin our halfpipe in our backyard and he caught the coping wrong and fell pretty hard and he was fine....wtf??

then he picks his board up and steps off but he steps like halfway off (its like a 6 in drop) and somehow loses his ballance and falls and breaks his ankle


then another time, the same friend as mentioned above, we were swingin on this rope swing over this lake and he swung out and was gonna throw a gainer and as soon as he got at the furthest point of the swing, the rope snapped and he fell back onto the shore right on his neck!!!

shattered 2 disks in his neck... i dunno how he's not paralyzed!!!!

I was cruising down a green at my home mountain 2 years ago, and my skis crossed. I then hit a rock right in between the cross and somersaulted over my skis and messed up my knee. It sucked.

And then another time I was racing my little sister (on another green) and I went over some Ice, fell, and got a concusion.

She kept on going and won the race

my foot got ran over by my friends car when we were going up to louise once. he thought it would be funny to pull away while i was putting my skis into the roof carrie. it was hilarious, just not for me, they thought i was joking. it broke my foot, it was the fuckin worst.

i fell off a bunkbed pretending to be a pirate and broke my arm.

\i was doing dryland training for waterpolo and tried to block a ball and fractured my hand.

i was walking and slipped and landed weird and fractured my ancle, only to re-fracture it again the week after i got my cast off by jumping over a backpack and falling.

i got bit by a monkey on my forhead trying to feed it a peanut.

i have a scar on my ancle from when a cocker spaniel stole my golfball and i chased it until it bit me. 

last but not least, i blew out my ACL and meniscus when a snowboarder pulled me off a chairlift. lucky, lucky me.

Oh yeah! I broke my wrist falling on my pole after 270ing onto a box, then 2 months later when I got my cast off, the first day I had my cast off I was jibbing this box and I fell sideways off it onto ice minorly fracturing my collarbone. The next day I went into Canada and broke the collarbone the rest of the way while shifting luggage in the parking lot!

I was at a football practice where it was raining really hard, while we were running in i thought it would be fun to slide through a puddle.  When i tried to do this my cleat caught and my ankle got caught. Ive missed four games so far because of this.

i hit my head pretty hard doing a daffy off of a little knol. apperently you need air to do those.
i also was like 7 once and was skiing behind someone off of the trail. they fell infront of me, i rode over them and cut my head pretty good on a rock.

i think ive already posted this somewhere but idk.I would always hit this little steep jump on one run just to do retarded old school tricks and when i hit it i went for a double daffy.i got 1 daffy in but when i brang my skis back to go for the second one they went into a screamin semen posision and poped both my skis off in mid air.this made me off balence in mi air and i landed on my chest and did a really bad scorpion.i couldent fuckin breath and i could barly walk for a week.i tore a bunch of muscles in my back and fucked up my back pretty bad.

these are some good stories, makes me feel a little better about my stupid injuries. Last fall, I was trying to 360 double and triple mule kick with running shoes on a trampoline, "caught an edge" upon landing and sprained my ankle(don't wear running shoes on a trampoline) Stories involving friends who will remain nameless unless they choose to take credit.. -8ft bomb drop to flat at a skatepark on a scooter breaking his foot 1 week or so before the VT Open -Tryed to backflip to the flat top of a table but went too big casing hard and ending up having to get ankle sugery -Flipping around a staple gun while putting up signs, managed to catch the wrong end and staple into his palm -while blowing up army men with gun powder, the wind shifted, causing burns to the face and partial loss of eye brow/lash hair

you have no idea...i broke my scaphoid in my wrist jumping over a "for sale" sign. it took 5 months for me to not have to wear casts or splints. now it always hurts and always will.  i know when its going to rain.  i broke my hand, one bone in 3 places, cause i slipped on a rock walking over rocks in a river.  that took a really long to heal too but not nearly like the wrist.  i broke my left hand a few years ago skiing cause i was standing on the top of a hill and then fell over accidentaly. but those first 2 injuries left me without either arms for a really long time.  hah dual casts. and the wrist cast was like full arm and made my elbow stuck at like a right angle all the time. the other cast was normal. both hands were pretty obsolete.

Like a year or two ago i decided to try out snowboarding at Vail....didnt go so well.  I ended up falling and fucking up my wrist and went into the hospital there.  Then they took me into this room with like 2 other people in it while i was waiting on my x-rays.  Then there was a chick that got wheeled into the room on a bed and she was balling like a motherfucker to not tell her friends what happened.  Turns out she fell over on her snowboard, on a green run, and ended up dislocating her elbow.....ouch.

I got a couple!

1. I was 12. I was messing around with some buddies instead of doing gate training (like always). We go off of a 5 foot brick wall onto flat ground, the path to it being a bushwhacking routine. So we just straightline it for 3 feet after emerging from bushes. Both of my buddies landed fine, and I of course have to hit the ONLY part which is tilted. I land off balance, and sit down on my thumb after stopping and it breaks.

2. The same day, I fall on the way to the ski patrol shack and break my wrist.

3. 3 seasons later, I try a backflip on a 1/4 repaired jump which allows for about 4 feet vertical air from the ground. I rotate 3/4 of it and catch my tip, catapulting my face into the ground and almost tearing a few tendons in my ankle...I couldn't ski for 3 weeks. Then I get dumb and try a cork 7 and overshoot the jump and break my back as soon as I can ski again. This was last year. I'm dumb, I know.

no, I cracked my tailbone doing a frontflip off of a ledge and landing on my butt haha that's not skiing related though.
It was during the late spring though, so no skiing days were missed.

- oh yah got another, at our track meet i think it was the cities....it was like a half hr before our event, my buddy was doing some randoms handsprings and flips, and he breaks his arm in 3 different places....a full year of training and he wasnt able to compete in the cities, we still laughed at him
