While I was reading the new issue of Freeze I sat back and thought

As far as im concerned last year, skiing laid out its intent and direction.
This year, we are defining ourselves by creating a culture.

Any thoughts?

snow, pag idk if yer talkign about me, but i had another idea. as its been said, skate culture and surf culture can now be bought into, i see plenty of kids who have prolly never touched a board in their life. so if we are to truly succeed and make skiing a culture that is ours. we have to continue the 'trend' of rider owned ski and streetwear companies. by keeping thigns small and owning the industry ourselves, we can create and HOLD on to our budding culture.

Yeah, it will be great when it progresses that far. However, I also dont want to see a bunch of posers spending mommy and daddy's money on skis and ski accessories just to fit in or look cool. It must stay a unique sport.
