lanks is right, I do that alot. I give people non-alcoholic becks in a glass for some girls second beer to see if they're just being dumb. half the time they are just being dumb! which I dont get. cause if u act dumb when tryin to be drunk it is never as funny as a drunk person being dumb.

macmahooooooooooooooooooooooon, your body doesn't build up a tolerance to alcohol. if you get drunk off one beer you'll always get drunk off one beer (unless you gain/lose weight or muscle). you can get used to being drunk which explains why people that drink a lot don't SEEM as drunk, it's just cause they learn to handle themselves

Anyway, although some people may have a lower tolerance to alcohol, there are also shit loads of people who do fake it. These three chicks who go to my school: Sila, Kristina, and Megan, always fake that they're drunk. They'll just come to school and stumble around and act all stupid and try to be funny, but everyone knows they're completely sober. It's rediculous and annoying. They're three of the chicks from the 'popular' croud, too. Sad thing is, they always try to convince me to go 'get drunk' with them. Stupid chicks.

Didn't Eminem make a track/skit thing on his Marshall Mathers (I think) album with this guy who he gave a nonalcoholic beer to and a fake gun and all of this other shit, and the guy was acting like a complete dumbass. That entertained me.

So many girls fake drunk, it's the dumbest thing in the world. I could go on for hours but to size things up women are all like that because all they want is attention. It's gotten to the point where the only time I want to be around girls drinking or smoking is at parties, I am really petite and I can drink a beer and feel just fine and my friends will like sip their's down and be like 'HAHAHA MAN I AM SO DRUNK!!!!' it goes back to my post about hyperness... man.

While I've heard the 'women process ale twice as fast' I've also heard that 'you can develop your tolerance' Also, there was a study done to show that food eaten before drinking can increase your legal consumption by 25%. I htink it was 25% dont quote me on that though.

if you eat before drinking as opposed to not eating, you'll bve able to hold more alcohol, but that's just cause the food absorbs the alcohol. but i'm 100% sure that you CANNOT build a tolerance to alcohol, you just control yourself better

if u can control yourself better that is tolerance. tolerance is defined by someons's control on their body. if u can control your reaction to something like alcohol, u have tolerance. if u can increase your control, u are increasing your toloerance.

no, you're wrong. your BAC (blood alcohol content) would take more alcohol to raise if you developed a tolerance. but it doesn't. if your blood alcohol is at a certain point after 5 beers one time you drink, it's gonna be the same BAC after five beers the next time you drink whether you act drunk or not.

I doubt there is a medical reason or whatever...but I used to be able to drink huge amounts before I actually got 'drunk'...but then didnt drink/smoke anything for 2 months and found that afterwards it took less to affect me.

whatever man, I've gone a couple months without drinking in the past and then when I go to parties I pass out after like 6 beers, cause I'm not used to it. now its summer again I've been drinking more, and 6 beers wont make me pass out anymore 10 beers and I'll be ready for bed. so dont tell me about tolerance, I'm telling you how it is for me, so I cant be wrong!

and I think that the 'tolerance' that all of you are talking about is just how you see things after some many drinks, your BAC is pretty constant, but different types of alcohol do give you different BAC level, not like proof/alcohol content, i mean that different ones absorbe into the blood more quickly and such ;)
