I just got a pair of look p 18, and i was wondering if i should just bend the breaks to fit on my skis, or does anyone know where i can get the wide breaks for them? and i posted one in the ski equipment section too.
u can-not get replacement brakes for the pivot heel bindings unless u take them of another pair wich is a pain in the ass so bend them and hope u do a good job, because in my experiences with bending them none have lasted more than a season and they get f#$%ed up
My experience is, the only way to bend them well, is to take them out of the heel and use a ski pole and vice. Ive ridden these bindings for years. My favorite thing to do is to just remove the brakes all together for my fatty's. I've never been able to get a bent pair to work properly anyways, no matter how good the bend job. Anyways, when the brakes are removed entirely, it makes the binding maybe a dozen or so grams lighter and unlike salomon bindings, the brake interface is not required for proper binding use. my 2cents
