i wanna see it done.. someone should post a double fornt on the ground in the media section.. im believe it can be done but i have a hard time visualizing it being done which leads me to think it cant be done
I can do a 1080 on the gorund I usually cork out and fall over but its not that hard. also i dont think gymnists can do a double front standing still they usuaully get running start and use momentum of stopping the runn all at once and jumping at the same time
they are gymnists because they are afraid of air. I had a friend in hihg school who could do misty 5s on the ground, backflips, frontflips, backflip 180s, all from just standing. When he started doing handsprings he could get his momentum into backflip 720s without a tramp, just from teh ground. Then one day i went skiing with him, and he snowboarded. He was terrified of the jumps, and didn't think it was possible to do tricks with that much air. Airielists are obviously an exception though. THose guys are nuts. Too bad there sport gets boring after 10 minutes.

funny thing about figure skating. as fruity as it is, it is kind of ballsy to do big spins on ice. if you're ever out skating with friends, try just jumping 180. it's not exactly easy, and landing bad on hard ice really hurts. it's easy to knock yourself out if you would hit your head.
I used to be a gymnast and believe me it is a totally different deal spinning with or without ski's
I could throw a double back with a 540 on the tumbling lane easaly but can land a 5 on ski's with much effort
the only thing is you know the rotations and are comfortabele in the air, but spinning with 1m68 ski's tied to your feet is a totally different sport
