Mounting powder/all mountain skis

Would I have trouble skiing on a ski that is about 6 inches over my head, if i mounted it at dead center. Since the ski is bigger than normal, if i mounted it dead center would that be okay for powder and rails, or a nusiance? Thanks.

It might depend on your weight/height, and the length of the skis, but since everyone is like "oh hey, you're not cool if you don't go long" you'll probably be fine...
cool name by the way :)

yeah... for powder you want to be back, but since there so long i dont no u might be alright moutning center. plus with them center you will be able to slide rails better. What kinda ski is it. (Company, brand)

BE MORE SPECIFIC!
Give you height/weight, the skis you're considering and what percent pow/all-mtn/park you're planning on riding with them.

so far we know that you have skis, they're long, and you're planning on using them for "powder/all mountain". Not even close to enough info to make a good recomendation

yeah dude, we need to know what you're planning on using. for reference, when i first bought ants, i mounted them at minus 5cm from dead center and they were sweet for all mountain, but they dove like russian submarines in pow. don't mount an all mtn/pow ski dead center unless it's really soft, like an ak enemy, arv, or lizzy.

you guys think that an AK enemy 179 would be alright to mount close to center. Like maybe 2 cm back from true center? I am 6'2 170 lbs, and I'll be riding them basically only Alpental BC, maybe a little park, but I have a park ski, so not much. My main focus is riding foward, but mostly just pillow lines/small drops/trees so the terrain is awesome for messing around switch.

If you're going to ride mostly forward, there's no point in mounting that close to center, they'll float better mounted farther back...BUT if you plan on learning/messing around with alot of switch stuff, then 2-3cm back from center is a nice mount point.

i have 174" Armada ARV's and i am 5'4" and weigh 130lbs and they are at recomended, i think like 3 back from center if i had to guess.. i could go a little further up like -2 or -1 or so ..

i mostly like to mount like -2cm's from true center, thats a good compromise for all mtn and pow and park/switch
