I know belongs in the non-ski gab but wtf, the season's over and I want to rant.

I don't really have a problem with skiers wearing tighter pants or whatever, each to his own on the mtn.

However, it seems like the ranks of emo kids at my college are growing at an alarming rate, it's like a damn infestation of boys wearing girl jeans, girls looking like boys, thrift shirts, bad haircuts w several colors, a caribiner w their keys on it hanging from a beltloop, vans w skulls on them and that "ohh life is so hard being me" attitude as they flip the hair out of their face and smoke a flavored cigarrette.

HOW LONG IS THIS SHIT GOING TO LAST??? It's one of the worst forms of conformity right now in my opinion.

At first I was like, wtf ya know, some emo music is cool and you can do whatever you like, but somehow, the whole culture started to annoy me.

Here's the main reason emo SUCKS. These kids are claiming aspects of a retro and post punk culture they have no roots in, it's just being packaged and sold to them by the Hot Topic. They already killed punk, I hope emo dies next.

OK rant over. Is this happening anywhere else???

its so fuckin bad at my school they have a school sponsered club for emo kids its really just a bunch of emo kids who claim to be "bi".

wow, as i just go through this high as fuck sitting here in my room, it kinda sounds like the majority of people that hate emo kids are repping it because some one else is hating on them or they're just trying to be like all of their friends in fear of being called an emo kid. Idunno it could be the chronic but what ever, i dont really mind emo kids, ever since like 2 years ago all the "emo" kids turned into either stoners that just wear b-ball shorts and listen to thrash music and shit like quasimoto  and smoke phat blunts, or the straight edge kids that are still pretty much emo at heart.

agreed. this whole thing is ridiculous anyway; you can't judge people by how they look. i have friends that people would call "emo" by their looks, but they all listen to hardcore and punk (outbreak, bane, crime in stereo, etc). and then there are other kids who dress "emo" but listen to stuff that just shreds. i do agree though that there are definitely some extreme cases of obnoxiously dressed and styled kids, but whatever, they're just going to look back when they're 30 and be embarrassed that they were ever like that.

find something better to be concerned about.

what kinda punk shows do you go to?
i mean you have the occasional drunk girl punching people but most people go to punk shows to dance and sing and have a good time, not beat the shit out of people.

And emo is a dying trend, now days you meet alot of emo kids who are legit, not just doign it to be popular and posting pics on their myspace.

Emos are so retarded. i remember one of my first threads was about this and i got chewed out by everyone, saying its just a style and a way to express myself.   Well if you think expressing your style by looking like a chinchilla is legit, grow a brain mang you need a some help in life.  And all the pearcings, i mean i have my LEFT ear pearced.  but having every square inch of your body speared with metal is just retarded.  How do you think your gonna get a job looking like you do.  Emos need have a long talk with them selves in the mirror.

And as far as the the emos that are like; i hate life, i want to cut, i want to kill myself part.  fuck, just go see a shrink.

I think a lot of you are confusing certain clothing with the emo culture. Just cause I wear clothes that aren't tall Ts or XL doesn't make me emo, it makes me sensable cause I wear clothes that fit me. Yes, I have tighter jeans, and tighter shirts than you, but its cause I like to look respectable and good to girls. You think girls like to have some guy in baggy ass shit looking like white trash come up to them and try to flirt, or a clean cut guy in a pair of jeans and nice shirt come up? Some of you guys miss the point entierly, its not how comfertable we might be in clothes, its whatever convinces a hot girl to put my penis in her mouth.

the overdo it part is what i was trying to get at i guess.  I shouldn't have said the part about going no where in life, that was kinda shitty of me.  I agree with wear what you want, thats the only way to go.  Im just trying to get to the point of the "i hate life, and the part where they overdo it so much they just look like some kind of crazy animal."

The worst part about the fuckin emo kids is that they all love "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and watch it as if it has its own religion.  Like just cuz you are emo doesnt mean you should watch that shit, it was a less than great movie made for little kids, get a life emo kids
