honestly.. not to trying to be a prick or anything, but there has been like 10 longboard threads in the last month. use the searchbar and check it out, you'll find alot of answers there. they have some pretty big discussions.
also i dont longboard so i can't really help you otherwise.
for a 6 footer, your gonna want something TURNY. exskates, originals, something with a real severe kingpin angle. another one id look at are Uptrucks. they are a brazilian company, and the trucks are solid urathane, and flex to turn. they will really crank around. um, what else... Bakus, those would work too. nuclear pickles would be dope too. id say a torsion truck like the exskates, bakus, or pickles would be best.
for wheels, id say mid 80s durometer, sized about 76-80mm. think about some deep wheelwells or something so you dont have to bump it up any higher, possibly droppin the trucks throu the deck. thats where the design of the board comes in. how you plannin on building it btw
i put some old skate board trucks on there they hardly turn i just did it to test flex
but yeah the board looks sora like a coffin and i can put some wells in there so wheel size dosent matter and i was thinking of gumballs do you guys think they well work good and i well just use it to cruise i know its long for cruising but ive always been kinda crazy
dont put randals on it. trust me. just dont, they arnt enough for that board. there are much more appropriate trucks. as for wheels, i wouldnt waste money on Gumballs, they are sick wheels, but its overkill for that board. Kryptonics would be best. big boards like that, your going for smoothness, not preformance. your not gonna be loosing traction. a nice double radius wheel, bout 82-86A, still smooth and easy rolling.
uptrucks would be sick, but as far as i remember... aren't they really hard to get your hands on when you're from the US? or has that changed? i thought i remembered reading on silverfish a while back about people going through all this effort to get a special order to try some out.
also in your other post mentioning not to get randals... while these options you mentioned do sound like a lot of fun, randals are still decent and reliable trucks, so i wouldn't quite rule them out completely. if you tune the bearings they can definitely be a consistent, fun ride. i have mine with half indy red (soft) bushings/half randal stock bushing. lots of people also tune them with khiro bushings.
Ride some randall (sp?) 180's and you'll never go back. And if your not gonna be doin' any sliding, then get some gumballs. Thats the funnest carving setup.
