thats probably one of my favorite shows. i have all six seasons on DVD. absolutely amazing. im on season 4 where hes in 9th grade. whinny just dumped him when they went to the museum and when he gets on the bus she left the ring he gave her the year before. god only knows by the beach boys plays and i could have cried, great show.
What would you do if I sang out tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song.
I will try not to sing out of key, yeah
that's the worst thing ive ever heard someone say. you dont compare wonder years to boy meets world. you just dont. Winnie is in a whole nother league...no world...than topanga.
HA! wonder years was a joke compared to bmw....i like them both but seriously, does the wonder years have feeny? no. winnie might be hotter than topenga (sp?) but eric is way better than...fuck what was the brothers name i have no idea but eric was better...same with shawn, a much better best friend than that wierd kid in glasses he was a loser
dude, Paul is key!!! His friendship with Kevin is realistic. they became friends as really little kids, and then in school kevin became popular, and paul was a nerd. but they stayed really good friends. they even had a few popularity conflicts. and the brothers name was Bud, and he was realistic too, cause he was a total asshole. Now, what boy meets world was missing, was Karen, the trampy, hippy older sister. Oh! AND, the dad on wonder years was SOOOO much better. Just the bitter asshole who hates his job and takes it out on his family. And the theme song to the wonder years is way better also.
and you def cant compare the two. BMW is a comedy with a laugh track and everything that just plays on cheap humor. the wonder years is a family show about life and life lessons. plus it is set to the backdrop of vietnam and everything else that went on from 68-73. Plus his relationship with whinny is legit, true love. Jack Arnold is amazing and realistic. its the class you love your father but you hate your father cause hes a hardass type thing. i dont know how many parents are still like that but mine are and my grandfather was on my dad so i can kinda relate. great show.
and reptar or whatever, have you seriously been here less than a month and posted almost 600 times? if so that is pathetic
I agree with everything you said. And yeah, Jack Arnold was brilliant in that show, and his relationships with his kids are COMPLETELY realistic. Especially his relationship with Karen and the fights they got into. His mom was very realistic for that time period as well. The parents on Boy Meets World arent realistic at all. And yeah, I hate laugh tracks.
Plus i used to watch the wonder years everytime it came on when i was little, and i'd watch it with my parents, who liked it equally as much. I grew up to that show and it has a lot of nostalgic qualities. BMW means nothing to me.
....hmmm maybe topengia isnt as hot as i remember her being...ouch but yeah i suppose those are some solid points...maybe its casue i watch bmw alot more than the wonder years...yeah but good points for sure
i dont really remember much about this show but when i saw the thread title i almost cried, so clearly this has some sort of deep embeded negative cannotation or something with me. anyone care to explain or do i just need a lot of therapy? like im not kidding. when i started to sing the theme song in my head i seriously almost cried. what the fuck?
