Ive done it all, just saw bowling for columbine, it was exellent (i know there was a thread on it) but seriously, this guy has no college degree, he was elected to office when he was only 18, he was on welfare when he decided to make a movie, right a book, now look at him. how to turn your liofe around eh? anyway i agree with most of this guys views, his humour is great, and i cant wait for his next book on how 9/11 helped bush to push his agenda, and get the wars he wanted. props to moore.

although it was good, bowling for columbine was full of bullshit. He used jump cuts and shady commentary to warp the facts into something that he could use. He didn't out and out lie like your president and government, he just distorted reality a little bit.

clinton was a beter pres for many other reasons.

as for my vote, John Grahm is a good candiate and has my vote. He was at my school and is a great guy, and very intelligent, also has the same views as I do.

umm... during his last 2 years in office, the house impeached him... that is known fact, sorry dude. he wasn't removed because the senate didn't impeach him, but the house did, and it was the first time any pres has been impeached.

I actually think that both of our recent presidents have been bad. Michael Moore even talks about how Clinton was just smoother at getting away with things then Bush. He was a better president, he did more for our economy, but he was also corupt. Personally I did not care about his sex scandalls. That is so obsolete compared to scandalls that involve screwing people over.

The reason that the clinton sex scandal became so big was because we are primarily a Christian country, and christians frown more on infedelity than they do on hate crimes, poverty problems in our ownw country, and so on.

With such a melting pot of society that our country is,with so many different religous beliefs. How is it that we are so primarily run by strong christians, those who are the extreme majority of our leaders. Where is the voice of all those other people. They are americans too!

Sorry for the rambling. Michael Moore is a genius. Of course he is with faults like all of us humans. We think of him not as a god, but as a voice we have been waiting for. A voice to say the things that a lot are afraid to say. We need to have our leaders change with the world. To adapt to how it is today, not to grip on to the past beliefs!

clinton was found guilty adn impeached by teh house. Impeachment means being found guilty on whatever charge it is. You have to be impeached by both the house and senate to be removed. Clinton was impeached by the house, but not the senate.

rhcp, you said in a reply up there that clinton bombed iraq too, but it accomlpished nothing. If you're reffering to the gulf war, it was a COMPLETELY different situation than when bush bombed iraq. fist of all, clinton actually had a reason, iraq had invaded kuwait. bush however went in with no solid evidence that iraq was building weapons. even though saddam is a horrible dictator, who kills thousands of his own people, bush still had no right to go to war. secondly, whereas clinton had many other countries fighting alongside of the the US in the gulf war, bush (and blair) went ahead without consent of the UN. Lastly, clinton did accomplish alot durring the gulf war, the armies against iraq removed them from Kuwait and stopped them from invading other middle eastern countries. Bushdid nothing except kill hundreds of iraqi soldiers, use up millions of dollars and send tons of US soldiers to die, all to remove a dictator from power (which was the one thing that went somewhat right) and to find weapons that most likely don't exist. to sum it up, the gulf war accomplished something, bush's war was a complete waste of money and lives.

What I was trying to say is Moore presents a falsified picture to the viewing audience, who in turn take it as the straight truth (not knowing any better) and believe that Moore's points are backed up exactly as they witness them. Here are some skewed parts of his movie Bowling for Coloumbine. First of all Moore tricked Heston into an interview where he bombarded him with unanswerable questions. After the footage of the columbine shootings, Moore says, 'Just 10 days after the Columbine killings—despite the pleas of a community in mourning—Charlton Heston came to Denver and held a large pro-gun rally for the National Rifle Association.” Exceot the excerpt of Heston is from an entirely different appeareance, and there was no rally in denver. There was no rally at all after columbine. And there was no rally in Flint, Michigan after that tragedy. There was a political rally 8 months later in Flint, but there was no NRA rally the day after the shooting like Moore leads the audience to believe. In reference to Columbine, Moore also says that, 'It is believed that all of the guns that they used were all legally purchased at gun stores and gun shows …” when in fact Harris and Kleabold wiolated 20 state and federal laws in aqcuiring those weapons. Moore does not mention that the two killers had threatened other kids, or that they made a film about gunning down classmates. But he does place American culture and American values solely to blame for the acts of these two criminals.
And as yeti mentioned, the supposedly, 'missles of mass destruction' were simply rocket boosters used to send t.v. satelites into orbit. And then with the headlines, the final one saying, Sept. 11, 2001: Osama bin Laden used expert cia training to murder 3,000 people. So what is Moore saying, that it is all our fault as American's. That we are all to blame for the tragedy that is September 11. Later in the film, Moore shows 'footage' of a hunter and his beagle with a gun strapped to its back, but it was discoverd that the footage was faked. But Moore did persuade hsi viewers to believe that hunters are morons. Back to the flint case, Moore does not share that the young boy lived in a home amid trash, drugs, abusive parents, and stolen guns, of course that had nothing to do with why he brought a gun to school. Anyway thats what im trying to say, its not a documentary when you dont show what is actually going on, but actually portray ones view with deception.

man some of you need to take an intro to government class. the House votes to impeach a president. he then goes to trial in the Senate. the Senate needs a 2/3 vote to remove him from office. in '98 the republicans did not have close to a 2/3 majority to remove him from office, so that was the end of that.

first of all, compared to other wars, a ton of american solgiers were not killed. Bush liberated a regime and stopped the dictatorship. Clinton was not a better president. The economy was based on false revenues, and he also sold nuclear secrets to china.

^yea even though it wasnt his fault you still cant say it was a great economy because of him because in truth it wasnt. And the economy didnt slip when bush entered office. It started to go down in the last few months of the clinton precidency.

Yeah, he makes terrific points...sometimes. Other times he just adds up 17 maybe's to equal one definate which just...doesn't work. However, he is very charismatic, and makes excellent movies.
