its cool when judges give a guy who landed 1 out of 2 runs 3rd place over a guy who landed the same trick as well as one other one.

its also cool when they give the kid who didnt fall once and did better runs then the first place winner and gets 7th.

need i say that they gave the only girl who did a 270 onto the box and tried other stuff then skiier slides 4th when the winner just straight slid everything.

oh yeah here are the results.

im pretty sure every kid out there realizes the crazability of a 270 on tame dog out.

this WSI thing has made me never base a rider on their comp winnings ever again. and i wasnt hating on the other people who did place, i was hating on the judges, just to make that clear because now that i re read it, it seems like thats what i intended.

also gagnier had lame ass runs.

lets compare him to say....matt margetts who didnt even make top 10.

switch on sketch slide on down rail vs RIGHT 270 on down rail

360 switch up on flat down box...oh wait he couldnt even stop his 90 degree rotation onto the flat so it was more like a half ass 200 degree switch vs LEFT (yes opposite of first spin) 270 to front flip off flat box

most likely something lame on gagniers part (i didnt watchbecause everytime it looked like he fell off the flat down but it definitely wasnt amazing because no one cheered) vs rediculously huge cork 3 off of the wall ride.


and bibby should have at least placed top 10. you cant fucking dock him for not hitting as many features when he hit the stump bonk because you built the fucking course like that. cork 5 and 7 tail taps on a massive stump bonk? please give him some credit. at least hes not doing the same lame ass ballerina 270 on as everyone else. oh wait they did a pretsel YAY! fucking lame

First, to the thread maker:

The format was a "best run counts", so it doesn't mean shit if someone landed one of there runs, or all four of them, only the highest score was counted for the placing.

And yeah, it's a bit surprising that some people didn't do better, but that would have been the hardest comp ever to judge.

And Mike Riddles winning run was sick:

Gap 450 to back 270 out on the dfd,
back switchup on the box to box,
360 on the mini-stepup into lipslide 270, 270 out on the last box.

Everything was done super clean and stylish.

When are people going to stop crying about judging? You really think that Chris Turpin doesn't know anything about freeride skiing?

And furthermore....

Nina was definitely going for the raddest shit in the girls event.... If she had stomped a run where she nailed every feature, the judges would have probably given her the win.

BUT, she didn't land a clean run, and the 3 girls on the podium did, so it should be pretty simple to understand. Nothing to do with sponsors, politics, whatever.
