there a way too many threads on this. if you dont know, you probably wont get spanced. go to as many comps as you can to get results and to see how good other kids are, get better than everyone else at the comps then you'll get spanced.
Hate to break it to you, you're not going to get sponsored unless you step it up big time. Tons of kids on this site can switch up, and almost everyone can 5. And even if you can do that stuff, it doesn't mean you're doing it with style. Yeah I'm being blunt but it's the truth.
"some were liek how many sides does a rhombus was i had no idea ont he cups in 5.5 gallons and what time period we are in but besides those i think im smarter thena 5th grader"
yea man chill for a couple more season and just work on your bag of tricks and your style and keep hittin up as many comps as you can find/afford and see where you go from there, as of now with 5s and switch ups I wouldn't even bother to be honest. but if you really think you got what it takes make an edit and put it on here and see what people think, but be prepared to get hated on and put down, just step it up next year and make everyone who hated on you look stupid.
dude some advice, dont worry about whether you get sponsered or not. It doesnt make skiing any better except for the fact you get free stuff, but regardless....just go have fun, and dont give a shit if you get sponsored or not and if you do, than let them find you.
well i always worried about getting sponsored, and being pro, and it made skiing suck for awhile, and i would only get dissapointed or pissed when i wouldnt stick stuff. And i've had so much more fun since i didnt worry about it, and have also skied alot better atleast as far as overall skiing. I've stopped my progression and skiing in the park almost all together, but now i film alot more, and have way more fun! Just enjoy it, there is nothing sad about not getting sponsored at all. It just makes skiing a business to you. Yah lots of sponsored riders still have fun, but becoming a pro skier is hard, i mean i'm not saying dont work hard, just dont worry about being pro or sponsored, and have fun, and enjoy your progression and chilling with your friends, because that is what it is all about! Make it an art, and a pleasure rather than a business or a job.
Be a fun loving guy. Be able to ski everywhere, not just the park. I'm alright at the park, but kick ass at the powder and shit, and I'm sponsered. If your good enough, the companies will find you and sponser you.

sponsoring isn't purely about how good a skier you are. the job of a sponsored rider is to sell product, if you ride for a ski company, you have to promote the skis, if you ride for a shop, you have to promote the shop and get skiers in there, you are basically a walking advertisement, and being a good advertisement is more then being a good rider, a shop/company wants to sponsor someone who represents there company well and who they think will be able to promote there product well, this means being sociable and friendly on the hills... so many people think sponsorship is purely about what tricks you can land, but its not, especially at a grass roots level.
go to more comps and get noticed ur self instead of doing some stupid vid and saying oh sponsor me. i think your forgetting why u actually ski for fun right? and if u dont then u should quit. stompede is a good example if u want to prove yourself against pros.
1. dont send a video directly to the company, the odds of you getting straight up factory sponsership is much lower.
2. start with your shop, and they'll get you in touch with reps
3. once you have a rep, in your area, maybe ski with him, videos, pics, results
4. getting hooked up from a rep wayyy easier then factory

throw a true nose grab into that 5, and get a sex change or if you're 12 you don't have to, then we'll talk.

you stupid sexist, there are lots of girls throwing down as hard as guys....you probably only say that because you had to drop into the park one day behind a girl that was throwing 7's and switch five's while all you did was straight airs, and then made up some bullshit about having a hurt knee at the bottom when you ran into her to make yourself look better, and try and convince your self you had some form of self-esteem.
it also has a lot to do with where you live, if you live in brek you have to be a sick ass rider, if you live in the middle of nowhere you also have to be nasty because they will have to reason that its worth spizoncorizing a kid from the middle of no where. When your at the hill next just bring a camera and session a few things if you think its good send it in, dont get your hopes up.
