k so im leaving tommorow and shit to whistler, how are the parks have u guys riden them at all lately and should i be spending my time at blackcomb or just the whistler mountain?
Blackcomb has a low level terrain garden, and intermediate park , and next to that the high level park. The high level park requires a waiver signed for anyone under 19 years of age, and a 15 dollar fee. You have to show the park pass to gain entrance to the high level, and you also must have a helmet. Usually I just have my pass on a lanyard hanging out of a pocket, they don't check during weekdays too much, but since it's a major holiday they will probably be anal about it to make sure no gapers get in and wreck themselves. Whistler's park is so-so.. blackcomb is where it's at. Both 'decent' pipes are on blackcomb too, the worldcup one is above the magic, under the wizard, the other is just bellow the catskinner, you can see it from Solar Coaster. Both are great, 17+ ft walls. But, it's puking snow right now, so you should really be skiing pow, and not park.
i think that whistler is the better mountain in terms of terrain. blackcomb is open and flattens out more near the bottom but if they have pow up there then that should make it worthwhile. I liked the park on whistler a lot, had some fun rails and a couple good hits
i rode them last weekend. They were really good on Saturady but on Sunday it was all powder cuz they didn't groom it but i think its probably back in nice condition now.
