Ok...so i suck at park and pipe...what do i do now?

so i suck at park and pipe and grinding rails, ive never been in a pipe or off a real jump. and at rails...my skis just slide right under me like its nothing. whats the best way to start learning without killing myself?

build a pvc rail close to the ground in your back yard and practice your balance on that. if you have no snow, maybe try stepping on.

yea keep at it by hitting small features on the normal trails then work your way up to the park i suck but i just do skiing cuz its super fun.

practice do small stuff like smallest rails/boxes and jumps at your mountain, and once you aren't scared of those at all step it up to something more intimidating, eventually you'll get more comfortable.

if you're old enough to use the internet and can't ski park by now, quit. while you're perfecting 360s and simple railslides, children a fraction of your age will be doing 360 switchups on technical rails.

yeah practice makes you better. ski with kids that ur comfortable with but are better than you cause then you'll get better too. just don't quit just keep trying and eventually you'll get it.

dont give up...consider your self like michael jordan who was cut in high school keep practicing...I was getting frustrated myself trying to do 5's but once i got it I was so pumped the feeling of knowing you stomped it is incredible and it keeps you coming back for more...just start out small and work your way up, what i have found works is to try new tricks at about 12-2 in the afternoon because your are warmed up and that is when visibility is best too, plus after about 3PM your legs tend to get tired and i have fallen on simple tricks i have dialed...just keep at it

yeah falling is not that bad, until you try stuff like corks and then it really starts to hurt...
