first make sure you truly can control ur speed before you jump or you will hurt yourself. the biggest mistakes people make are trying to stop too quickly cos they all of a sudden have more speed tnan they can handle.
if you are hitting jumps, hit it at a controlled speed but pop (like jumping on flat ground) as you leave the lip.
too many people hit the jump and either hit it too fast and try and suck up the lip, or just fly off without doing anything with theyre legs. its the pop that allows you to be balance in the air. dont lean back off the jump, dont pencil out, stay knees up and compact in the air.
and lastly, dont try to scrub speed as soon as you land. commit to your landing, get balanced, then start turning again - this is why its important to know you can be comfortable with speed.
if nothing else, start small and work up.
