I have an ipod now, i hate it. its nice cause I can use it is my canon 20d to store picture while im shooting. I can trade it into apple to get a new one. Im thinking about selling it for a zune... how are they? plus i really hate apple, but back when the video ipod came out, it was the best thing there was.. help?
my ipod broke 4 times. and the first one i beat up. but the other ones were BABIED hardcore. i did just what your talking about doing, and highly reccomend it. but like ^ said, they both have thier pros and cons.
Zunes are huge weird ass music bricks. Shuffle is the way to go as far as i'm concerned. They don't generate enough inertia to break when they get dropped, and they are perfect for skiing. They can fit enough music for one day on them, and Itunes can auto-refil them with more random music so your not listening to the same thing all the time. They are also like 80 bucks new.
i was considering getting a zune to replace my iPod. its old and failing. don't get me wrong, my iPod is nice, but the zune just looks sweet and stuff. but then i found out, they aren't compatible with macs. so no to the zune for me! i was bummed.
but yea i agree with whoever mentioned the shuffle. generally im not a fan of apple but i think that new shuffle is great. i want it for skateboarding and snowboarding. its so small you wont even notice its there and it seems pretty solid.
I took incredibly good care of my Ipod's and somehow I've just gone through a 4th one. Now they won't warrentee me for a new one so I think I'll steal my sister's Nano and patiently wait for the second generation Zune to get. I want to try something new and get out of being stuck with Itunes. And to all of you who are bitching about the funtionality of the zune and it's software, don't forget that it's only the first generation while the ipod is in it's fifth generation. They've had a lot more time to get it down and bad they're loyal (and half the time blindly following) customers.
