Grinding..... HELP!!!

Hey whats up newschoolers!?

I was just at the Tremblant gravity park and they had some rails there and I was unsucessful at my grinding falling off like everytime I tried...

I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on grinding

appreciate it....

keep your feet wide, make sure your perpindicular to the rail, look at the end of the rail. Keep trying and you should be able to get it.

Lots of practice and make sure you line up with the rail its probably better to start on a wider platform then going for the rail first try you'll get the feel for it better

Yeah man...the most important thing to do is get EXACTLY perpendicular with the rail. Trying to grind slightly crooked is very hard to stay on a rail for any period of time and it looks gay.

if you can find a wooden rail, do that. It slides alot slower than metal and is easier to learn on.

Go straight at the rail go off the lip but dont pop of it and then turn 90 degrees and keep your weight centered and your feet shoulder width apart...and then come of the end and do 90.....

On the rail, it is just about three thing:
Speed
balance
confidence

It is easy to get the speed, and for the balance, I suggest you to just slide on ice with your shoes... do it untill you dont feel that your body is leaning backward ( cause on rails, it kills...) then go for it on rails..

For the confidence, try to visualise you doing that rail like 50 times in yare mind before hitting it.

one thing that helps me is to look down at the rail right after you pop until me skis hit the rail and then quickly turn my head to look at the end of the rail. I found that helps me to get my body centred on the rail.

Make sure you go in switch looking over your spinning shoulder and spin a fat 270 with a mute hit the rail then 270 off
