Down Rails

I am thinkin about trying down rails...every time i have done them in the past i always slide out...help

i kinda have the same problem but recently i think ive got it...especially if the gap to get on it is bigger focus on putting your down the rail if not you slide out...and that doesnt feel too good either haha

try to fell that the pressure is on both of your feet, front as well as back. that should help. and go for it. I mean don't hesitate. do it or not.

I doubt it, it's said everywhere to lower your mass center so the balance is easier to keep. standing up would make you more unbalanced

stay low and weight centerd on the rail, make it ur body is tilted to the same steepnes of the rail

look at the end of the rail and dont take ur eyes off it.

yup, just more weight on front foot, and be square with the rail, like your whole body tilted with the rail. Bend your knees and have your legs maybe a bit farther apart. Its weird but really not that much harder

also, if it is an ollie on like urban setup. try not to step on with one foot, some people seem to do that(ehem maple leaf) and it can be harder. still come off both feet just like a regular rail. and like he said^^ either do it or don't

Stick with it, grow some cojones, and lean foward. Make sure you get a good pop onto the rail, too.

just look at the end of the rail and crouch a little and lean forward slightly depending on slope of rail

when you're starting out widen your skis out and you will have much better balance and not slide out at all. same thing used to happen to me but when i started spreading my legs out wider i almost never slid out. and eventually your legs will naturally begin to come closer together.

it depends on whether the rail is built as an urban-style rail, or a ride on down rail.
